2010 NBA Playoffs

Celtics have looked VERY impressive.

Bill, your C's are definitely looking like the team that I saw from Opening Night to Christmas Day.

They really do, and Rondo has become a BEAST!!!

Celts by 23 after 3...........if they can't hold on to THIS lead, I give up!

cleveland is just pathetic. shame that this will all be blamed on lebron's elbow. kinda funny since kobe has played through real injuries over the past 2 years and gets criticized for every poor performance. no excuses there, and mj never made any excuses. i won't be surprised though when this 'bruised elbow' becomes the reason the cavs didn't win a title. mj never made excuses with the flu, and kobe hasn't made excuses with his injuries, and over coming adversity defines a legend. something lebron has struggled to do

Celtics trying their hardest to play the Houston Oilers opposite the Cavs playing the Buffalo Bills!

Oh boy now you gonna make the CRYING CREW start talking smack LOL :D

Whats really funny in a way is how when Cleveland loses no one makes comments about that. But when Boston/Lakers/Magic lose boy they race here to post away LOL

This series could of easily been 2-0 Boston, so the next 2 games will be interesting indeed.

I find it interesting that Laker fans have posted as much about this game as Celtic fans are.

L.A. fans should be more concerned about Utah than a game from a separate conference.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but find me the sound-clip/quote where LeBron used his elbow as an excuse.

The bottom line is this: We're a no excuse team. If LeBron is on the court, he is expected to be productive. He's said this many times. We're not making any excuses for the absolute mauling we took last night. The Celtics whooped our butts, plain and simple. We've got our work cut out for us heading back to Boston.

Your Celtics are showing the heart of a Champion, Bill.

The thing that separates this team from the 2008 Championship team other than a few key additions is the maturity of Rajon Rondo. In '08, Rondo wasn't nearly the premier player he is now for this team. Rondo is absolutely killing us in this series. We have no answer for him.

We need to make some serious adjustments before Friday. Through 8 quarters of play, the Celtics have dominated the Cavs through 6.5 of those quarters.

who are you talking about????? or do the tattoos scare you????:haha

If Jameson had hit his three pointer with four minutes left, the lead would have been cut to seven and I would have been betting on the Cavs at that point.

And if that happened, I would've missed the worlds greatest comeback.

Seriously, I was so disgusted with the Cavs play in the 3rd quarter, that I turned them off and watched 24 instead. Hot damn, I was pissed!

It was pretty bad.....hopefully that was their rock-bottom, and they'll come out Friday with a bit more precision and focus.

I agree. That would have been a HUGE shot. I told my wife that it was over as soon as he missed it....

The coach says James is OK, but James says the opposite:

I've never heard Brown do anything but praise James. When asked if the elbow was bothering him, the coach wasn't in the mood to protect him. "His elbow is fine,'' said Brown, perhaps letting the cat out of the bag regarding James' ongoing injury melodrama. "He has not said anything to me. The trainers have not said anything to me.''

Hmmm. If James isn't hurt, exactly what is he doing out there? Preparing for his next TV acting role? "For me, I'm gonna go out and continue to be the player I am,'' he said, continuing to claim he is hurt. "I don't use this elbow as an excuse. I never use an injury as an excuse. If I'm on the court, I try to be as productive as possible. Tonight, I was OK. But all of us were only OK. It's how we react to the next game.''
Kinda sounds to me like the bolded part is an excuse, even though he just finished saying it's not...

I sure hope so. I've seen just about every Cavs game this season and I can say without a doubt that last night's 3rd quarter was the WORST quarter of basketball they've played all year. For that to happen in the playoffs is inexcusable.

On a more positive note, I'm not sure home court has a necessary advantage in this series. The Celtics have actually lost 2 more games at home than on the road this year. They are plenty beatable at home.

I agree with you. I haven't seen them look anywhere near that bad all year. I've seen enough of Mo guarding Rondo. Brown needs to make an adjustment immediately. Rondo is a hell of a player and Mo can't come close to checking him.

You Drama Queens are more concerned with who shakes hands with who after the game anyway. Typical LA Faker fans...

This is looking a little similar to the year the HEAT won the championship. They had a couple of injuries, nothing major and....get this, they were on cruise control most of the year because they KNEW they had a veteran, aging team. They KNEW they were going to make the playoffs and knew that if they were STILL that good, they will NOT need home court advantage to win a series.

Good teams KNOW they are making the playoffs, KNOW they do not need homecourt to win and KNOW how to pace a veteran team where there is energy in the reserves to make a depp run in the playoffs.

That is not 'heart of a champion'...that is the INTELLIGENCE of a champion.
