2010-11 NFL Season

How did you see Miami recover, you had a bunch of bodies going for the ball.
The officials REALLY blew that one, once they signaled TD, no one followed up on the play when the fumble was recovered.

Come on now, Jimbo.............don't post "Buffalo got ripped off" (ie. the Ravens got a gift win), AND THEN defend what happened in Miami.

Sorry, can't have it both ways. ;)

Sure I can, why not ?

Doesn't matter anyways, Steeler's will loss plenty, they lost thier 2nd most important player on the Defense today to torn tricep, that would be Aaron Smith.
Last year when Troy and Smith were out, the Steelers were terrible defensivly.
They also lost Woodly to a hamstring.

I would guess neither will play next week against the Saints, Smith could be lost for a long time, possibly the season, no official word yet.

Bill,
In the Steelers game, the officials blew that call.
First of all they called the play a TD from the start, then they dropped the ball and didn't pursue who had the ball because they thought it was a TD.
They could not determine who had it, they had no other option .... had they came out and said the Dolphin had the ball, I would have said OK and moved on, but they didn't.

Put your Patriots in the Steeler's position and you would defend the play as it was called on the field as well.

Yes, that call could change playoff seeding, but there's a ton of ball to be played yet.
As I said earlier, I expect thier Defense to drop off with the injuries to key players.

Why not?? Maybe because the Dolphins got S-C-R-E-W-E-D today!

And I'm sorry to hear about the Steelers injuries, but it does matter to the Dolphins. They went from 4-2 to 3-3 in a blink of an eye.

I beg to differ there.

I think I've proven time and time again that I don't let my team allegiances get in the way of my opinions. I call 'em as I see 'em.;)

Luckiest win in a long time. The Pats are very fortunate that they played the most undisciplined team in the NFL today!

I was thinking the same thing, than I realized something. The 01-06 teams won games like that, the 09 team lost games like that. So I'll take it and be happy about it.
Nice to see the D pick up the O in parts of this game.

Vikings-Patriots next Sunday at 4:15 ET on FOX. Wonder how many Randy Moss masks will show up in Foxboro on Halloween afternoon/night. ;)

I was talking to some buddies after the game and they were saying the same thing as you.

Me thinks I may have overreacted.

It is really disgusting how Collinsworth puts the blame on other players for Favre's terrible decisions. What a horrible announcer, he is!

What a disgrace these refs are......Harvin wasn't even close to getting both feet down!

If you look at the replay...ALL the ref did was watch to see that he made sure he had possession of the ball. They KNOW that replay will correct their mistakes. What they don't realize is how bad the refs look when they rely on the replay and not on good ole fashion good officiating. The NFL has given the entire group of refs...multiple 'mulligans' per game.

It's hard to say who really got screwed in that Steelers fumble, as the refs were pulling people out of the pile and telling them play was over before anyone came out with the ball because they thought it was a touchdown. Them letting that continue doesn't mean Miami would have had it. Doesn't make it any better, but will be something Miami fans will gloss over for the most part because a Dolphin did end up with it. Ben even said he had the ball in the pile until a ref told him it was a touchdown. Don't know how accurate that is, but not everyone keeps playing after you see a ref signal touchdown and/or blows the whistle.

OK....as a guilty pleasure, I went to the Denver Post to see some of the comments from Broncos fans, and they are hilarious:

I don't know what all of you guys are complaining about. To me, the Broncos are the best high-school football team in the state. It's not their fault they've accidentally been scheduled into the NFL. Knowshon Moreno was the homecoming king.

Thank God, the Raiders had the mercy to put the backups in. Maybe they at least won't set all-time league records on the Broncos today.

When they reach 80 points, maybe they'll put their coaching staff and cheerleaders out on the field after the 2 minute warning......or allow some of their fans from the stands to suit up and go in.

I see more hatred for McDaniels by Broncos fans than Raider fans for Al Davis.

But some of these quotes are hilarious!

I don't see the issue in that circumstance. It is easier to review two feet, and replay is from the booth in that situation so it is no big deal
