2010-11 NFL Season

OK then, try this:

Put yourself in Belichick's hoodie. Your team has just won a big division game on the road, rather convincingly.

Are you saying you would welcome one of your top players having a hissy fit a halftime and blowing you off on the plane ride back home??

How would you handle the situation?? Don't say you would give him a "a LEGIT reason why they are not being used" because you know that doesn't work!!

Don't forget, the key to this is that your TEAM won!! I guess I could see rationalizing this kind of behavior if your TEAM lost....

1st of all, it has MORE to do with the entire 2010 season than just the Dolphin game. Going into the Dolphin game, after 3 games he had only 9 catches for approx. 137 yards. LAST yeah, he averaged 8 catches-90 per game(83 rec-1264 yards). It can't be that can't play anymore....so what is it? Going another direction? We wanna trade to you because we will not sign you because of your age? You no longer have the step you use to have?

Look at it this way, if you were one of th best at what you do in your office and suddenly, you no longer was getting the assigments/jobs/clients you once were given because you were 'one of the main cogs'...would YOU bitch? And inquire WHY you are not getting the gigs?

Maybe he's not putting out the effort in practice.

Maybe he's not catching the balls that are thrown to him (happened with the Raiders).

Maybe he's a cancer in the locker room (by all accounts this is the current issue with Moss).

Maybe ...

Big mistake? Dion Branch was a mistake, this is not.

2007 was fun, 2003-4 were much better.

I was just gonna post the same thing......almost verbatim! :up

Look, I have LOVED watching Randy Moss the last 3+ years (especially the near 19-0 2007 season), but the Pats got away from what made them champions in '01, '03 and '04..........tough, physical football with a lunch pail mentality! I blinked and they became a finesse team.

ESPN.com reports that Tom Brady has been talking to Deion Branch about returning to the Patriots, and Branch had this to say:

"I still love Coach Belichick and if the opportunity presents itself to come back, I would love to be there."

Branch's team is presently in first place in its division, and he is publically stating that he'd love to be playing elsewhere? Are the Patriots now going to try to replace one Randy Moss with another?

You really can't correlate the business goals of a professional sports team and a "normal" industry type job, but I guess I'll try to humor you.

The company you work for is one of the top companies in your field nationally. But, one of your coworkers who is working under a contract feels he is not playing as an important part in the company's success as he once was. He complains at staff meetings, maybe even publically about his plight. Management says they value his role in the organization's success.

Wouldn't this coworker's selfish behavior distract you and others and possibly start affecting morale?? Since the company is doing well, shouldn't the employee continue to do the best job he can and if he's that unhappy, take his talents somewhere else??

Maybe he's not putting out the effort in practice. THAT could be.

Maybe he's not catching the balls that are thrown to him (happened with the Raiders). They just have not thrown to him. Only ONE throw to him in the Dolphin game.

Maybe he's a cancer in the locker room (by all accounts this is the current issue with Moss). So NOW he is a cancer? When he caught 23 TD passes...was he a cancer then? I mean IF he has been a cancer all his life, then why didn't they bring this up when he as having NFL record years in New England?

Maybe ...

I am just wondering out loud. Seriously, I mean why do these questions ALWAYS come up when they are about to dump a player not wanted anymore?

I would guess that it's part of his history.

As for asking why he would be a cancer now , but not previously ?
They were winning and all was happy.
Now they are not winning as much and Randy's not as happy ?

Maybe Randy was a cancer all along and the winning over shadowed it ?

proving my point again that "chemistry" means nothing with your winning.
