2010-11 NCAA College Basketball

...Syracuse destroys Notre Dame IN South Bend...and Notre Dame goes to Pittsburgh and wins.

The Big East is special this year. Soooo many good teams who will spend the entire conference season beating each other up. And it's an incredibly guard-driven league, which is so important in college basketball.

The NBA is more about the bigs, but NCAA is about the guards.

Very true....though I am not into this conference thing.....like you know...but I do agree about the guard driven league. Look at the top 10 scoring leaders....if I am not mistaken...8 or 9 out of 10 are guards.

Cue Salsa's head exploding.

Not explosion here. It's a long season and the Big East is notorious for beatin' the crap out of each other. Adjustments will be made and asses will be kicked.

Yeah, funny thing is that it wound up 90-68...and it wasn't that close! Syracuse was just smoked. The Big East is just a crazy conference this year. The Hall comes into the Dome on a three game losing streak, with the worst shooting team in the conference, and they absolutely shred the Orange zone from minute one.

And yes, Kris Joseph played.

In most conferences road games for even the best teams are dangerous. In the Big East, EVERY game for every team is dangerous, home or away.

Is this your motto now that the 'Cuse got embarrassed by Seton Freaking Hall? Before that you were all sunshine and puppy kisses about your team. Now, you're playing down the regular season like it means nothing. Lol!

HD, your overall point is valid, but I am going to challenge that Syracuse was embarassed last night. Any loss in the Big East is not an embarassing loss, and Seton Hall in particular is a much better team now that Jeremy Hazell returned from injury a couple of weeks ago.

But has ALWAYS been the so-called 'lay of the land' when comes to Big East basketball and their teams. Teams OUTSIDE of the conference have a tough time with their physical play. In their own conference....they just know each other.

And yes, he did play.

No....because I have not made a stink about 'Cuse going 18-0 and smoking everyone they had played until Pitt....AT ALL. When they beat ND, I stated their entire NCAA chances of making the possible FF would depend on their long range shooting. THAT WAS IT.

Your only comments in this thread BEFORE the Buckeyes were #1 was...."is it March yet?" So you tell me, WHO is the front runner in THIS equation....?;)

Excellent point! YES, Syracuse got DESTROYED at home. But that DOES happen alot more often than not in the Big East because those teams know each other well.

Front runner? I like all Cleveland teams + Ohio State! You know me. If I were a front runner, I'd pick and choose different teams throughout the country to root for. Oh wait... ;)

Funny. But are you seriously calling a Raider, Miami and Florida Marlin fan a front runner?
