2010-11 NCAA College Basketball

And then you have coaches like Pitino who love to coach against it, they show their teams how to break it and do so quite successfully. Its not like its the perfect defense, otherwise their record would never be beaten. There are lots
out there that have been equally as successful.

For the record, while I think the Cuse is a good team and fun to watch, their BE records for the last few years are:

2005-6 7-9
2006-7 10-6
2007-8 9-9
2008-9 11-7
2009-10 15-3

Looks like some of the BE teams don;t run screaming into the night at the defense, they would rather stay and beat it. :)

I thinks that's called familiarity....;) Other teams do not see it as much as teams in the BE. Also, remember, Pitino was an assistant to Jim Boeheim.

But apparently they are not doing to well. The 'Cuse has done quite well the last few years.

Sorry, but the 'Cuse has only won 60% of their BE games over the last 5 years. Not exactly slaughtering the opposition, are they? I am not saying they are not any good, but the BE, as well as the ACC, has lots of good teams. That is what makes the BE and ACC games fun to watch, to me, very competitive games. The SEC, on the other hand, usually has UK and one or two other good schools, same of PAC1x and Big1x conferences, a couple of good teams trashing the opponents on a consistent basis.

Just MO, though. :)

The BE is not what I am talking about. The 'Cuse has done very well in the NCAA. And considering the fact that they seldom get big name recruits....hard to find big name guys willing to conform to the team defense of a active zone.

Nice win locally for the Golden Grizzles of Oakland University over Tennessee...watch for them come tournament time :)
