2010-11 NCAA College Basketball

I can't believe I missed the Cancun Challenge!!! I don't care who was playing,I just wanted to see "whichever teams" playing in that room with the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Apparently Missouri won the challenge. Who was even covering it? I think CBS College Sports had it last year.

It wasnt played at that place this year.

Since 2009, there are eight games played in the United States and eight games played at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancún, Mexico. Teams are separated into two divisions, the Riviera and Mayan, with the winner of the Riviera bracket named tournament champion. Because of a scheduling conflict, the 2010 tournament was played at the Aventura Palace in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

I'd love to pretend like I'm into regular season College Basketball, but I'm not. Not even with my team (tOSU) at #2. Ho hum. Wake me in March.

And right here is the difference between college football and college basketball. Because there is only a two team football playoff system, every regular season game is essentially a playoff game.

In college basketball so many people don't even pay attention until March, because the playoffs are all that matters.

I am a huge Maryland and ACC basketball fan and had planned my viewing last night accordingly, but switched to check on Georgetown-Missouri during a commercial break and couldn't get away from that game. One of the best regular season games that I have seen in years.

Yes it was. I am not into the conference alliance thing....but all this talk about the ACC and Big Ten basketball conference when the Big East has literally have won all the big tournaments so far.

Anytime you have a H2H matchup of two of the "Sensational Six" all-time college hoop programs (Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke and Indiana being the others) it's a great thing!

Unfortunately, it will be tough sledding ratings-wise tonight going up against the LeBron watch and NFL action.

...not to mention the Holy War, Good versus Evil, under the Big Top Long Island circus tent at the Mausoleum.
