2010-11 NBA PLAYOFFS

Really? Now your hating on Big Z because your team released him, he was more than likely gonna retired until James called him, said 'come on down, you might start...make a little pocket money with a good chance to win it all....." ....and you wanted to him to say, "no.... I pass..." ...??!!

That's nicely selfish of you....

That's weak man. He deserves the chance at a ring like anybody else.he left the right way.this lebron thing has really shown the worse in people. I guess I see sports differently than most.I certainly can't hate anyone this much.

lol at hating on Z. where else was he going to go? LA had no money or a need for him. Boston at the time didn't have a need. Orlando didn't have a need. San Antonio MAY have had a need for him, but I don't remember their financial situation. Those were really the only contenders going INTO the season besides Miami.

I'm not hating Z - - - I just don't feel the least bit sorry for him as he sits on the bench. I can't back off my stance, though.....He should have shown a tiny bit of loyalty to the City that ALWAYS supported him by not following public enemy #1 to Miami. (Disclosure: I fully admit that I'm a hater).

We forget sometimes that these guys are just highly paid mercenaries, without the passion that we have for our favorite teams....
passion i can understand. hatred i can not. but you make a good point. and if we had an opportunity at a better job than what we currently have, everyone of us would take it despite the relationships we might have build through out the years at our current employment. sports is no different. these are professional athletes who will always look at $$$ first. its a job. a fun job but nevertheless its still a job.

in z's case he needed a job. if i'm understanding this correctly the cavs let him go. so i guess the same could be said about the cavs. where was their loyalty to z for his years of faithful service????? at the end it didn't matter because he wasn't of use to them anymore. they didn't want to pay the man because he was no longer of any value to the cavs, right? so you don't want him but at the same time you want Z to find a job where you want???? wow........

I'm not saying that Z owes any loyalty towards the Cavs,,,,all I'm saying is that I'm disappointed he didn't show a bit of loyalty to the city and his fans. I'm not saying Z needs to find a job where I want....I'm saying that he shouldn't have followed the second biggest traitor in Cleveland sports history to Miami a few weeks after the traitor humiliated the City on national TV.

WHERE was the Cavs loyalty? IF the Cavs fans wanted loyalty, they should have asked the organization to resign him. Loyalty is a two way street my friend. They should have offered him money no to sign.... This is going beyond hating and being downright selfish about preventing a man from earning a living. But oh well....you are entitled to your opinion.

I really like Z, but karma's a bitch. He should have showed a little loyalty to the city that loved him so much for so many years by not following the quitter to Miami. I'm sure another contender could have used a big.

I've got no problem with Z going to Miami. He was a free agent. He's free to do what he wanted. At least he didn't hold the city hostage, trick the fans into thinking he was staying, then go on national TV to embarrass us like someone else.

We forget sometimes that these guys are just highly paid mercenaries, without the passion that we have for our favorite teams....

Perfect example. Jason Taylor, the former Dolphin. He HATED the JETS franchise and their fans more than the Cavs fans hate Lebron. And he wanted to keep playing...AND wanted a chance to a ring. The ONLY team that offered plenty of playing time and a good chance to be a SB....you guessed it....THE JETS.

I as a Raider fan, I hate the KC Chiefs with a major passion. When Marcus Allen left TO THE Chiefs, I was disappointed, but he went where he wanted to go. HOW can be upset with a former player if you just does not wanna be on your team? Whatever....

He did show loyalty. Remember the add in the Plain Dealer he posted, thanking the fans......

question is my friend, what would you have done in his shoes? if no one else shows interest in you except miami? or maybe miami was the only contender for a ring who showed interest in you? what would you do? the reality is that he was friends with lebron. lebron was very likable before he left among his teammates and fans. he has a relationship with Z. the guy is out of time for a crack at winning a championship.setting your current feelings aside as a fan, what would you have done?? i'm not trying to bust your balls skyhi. i like you. you're a straight shooter.you're honest. but come on. you and I would've done the same as Z did. as i've said before you guys have every right to be angry at the way lebron left. but the sooner you guys let this go the better you'll feel. the cavs have a great chance to build a solid foundation in this next draft. two top picks. remember, lebron doesn't think or care about how any of you cavs fans feel. why should you continue to hold on to this anger against lebron?. it ain't worth it buddy.it really isn't. you'll feel way better the moment you let it go. i guarantee you that it would affect lebron more to see that you guys have moved on from his existence rather than holding on to the way he went about leaving Cleveland.

LOL! If Z was in danger of not being able to provide for himself and his family, then I take everything I said back.

i had zero problems with jason taylor doing this. zero. back in late 80's early 90's dan marino's contract was towards its last year or two. i was hoping he wouldn't sign a new contract here in miami. i wanted him to go to the steelers who showed strong interest in marino. who wouldn't. i wanted him to go there for a chance at a ring which i'm 100% sure he would've gotten. the steelers lost that SB in the early 90's by not much and fault of the mediocre QB they had at the time. but marino decided to be loyal to the fans and organization here and it cost him as miami never built a real winner around danny. had he left i would've had no problem at all. none. but thats me.

It's not a danger. I me really..?? Loyalty? Again, why did the Cavs organization re-sign him...?? where was THEIR "loyalty"...?

LMAO! This is crazy we are even having this conversation.... I am done. LMAO!

First, I want to be clear that when I'm talking about "hate", its in the context of sport. I'm not sitting in my basement all day, foaming from the mouth muttering about lebron. :D :D

It's nearly impossible for me to picture myself as a pro-athlete, so your question is difficult to answer. I am a very loyal person and I'd like to think that if I was in Z's shoes, I would have aggressively sought out all other viable options and Miami would have been an absolute last resort. Z lived here, was active in the community, and will seemingly live he when he retires - - - he is one of us.

You're done?!?!!? You can go on and on with Sandra for DAYS! I must be really belligerent. :D

The Cavs didn;t show loyalty (although I don't think Z was interested in returning to the team), but I'm not talking about Z's loyalty to the Cavs...I'm tsalking about showing loyalty to the city and the fans.
