2010-11 NBA PLAYOFFS

Are you kidding Rey? The Mavs showed everyone their plan on defense. Pack the middle playing alot of zone and dare the Heat to make their jump shots. Last night, most of the Heats missed shots were WIDE open 18 to 20 footers. But I tell you what, if that is there complete strategy for defense...they could be in trouble.
thats why i said that they won despite shooting 38%. game one doesn't say much. i learned that with the bulls/heat series. thats why game 2 will tell us more. and yes the mavs gave us the best defense they had. their lineup showed us that. what am i saying wrong here?

Dirk Nowitzki suffered a torn tendon in his left middle finger (NON-shooting hand) last night. He is expected to play in Game 2.

Did not say that you were wrong...what I am say they showed us what they plan on doing. They will do it again in game 2 as well they really do not feel the Heat can hit their open jump shots on a consistant basis...and they have not, so I do not blame them. Like I said before, the Mavs played no one with defense on their path to the Finals. Big bodies(like the ones the Lakers and Thunder have) does not equal to good defense.

Still feel bad for Big Z. Sitting on the sidelines in a suit in the biggest series of possibly his final year as a pro? A lifetime Cavalier, signed by a dream team for one last hope at a Championship? And he's riding the pine!? No one wants to go out like this. No one. Feel bad for the big guy. :(

Game 1 was just a "feel out" phase. Both teams will make adjustments. Relax skillet. This series is far from over.

He had to know he would ride the bench most of the year when he signed with them.

i get it my friend. they will adjust for game two but still utilizing their original plan from game one since i don't see any other way. glad i'm not a coach hehe.......

i feel bad too but he was a big part of helping us get here. he played plenty of games during the season and did help us out.

No...on the contrary, he started the season because he was known as a decent passer and a big man who could hit the 17 foot jumper in his sleep. Then, he suddenly couldn't hit the ocean if he fell off a boat. Anthony is not a threat offensively by no stretch of the imagination, but defends very well, rebounds and blocks shots. Poor big Z just does have the legs or the youth to play the defense you need if you cannot score..

I really like Z, but karma's a bitch. He should have showed a little loyalty to the city that loved him so much for so many years by not following the quitter to Miami. I'm sure another contender could have used a big.

Really? Now your hating on Big Z because your team released him, he was more than likely gonna retired until James called him, said 'come on down, you might start...make a little pocket money with a good chance to win it all....." ....and you wanted to him to say, "no.... I pass..." ...??!!

That's nicely selfish of you....

That's weak man. He deserves the chance at a ring like anybody else.he left the right way.this lebron thing has really shown the worse in people. I guess I see sports differently than most.I certainly can't hate anyone this much.

lol at hating on Z. where else was he going to go? LA had no money or a need for him. Boston at the time didn't have a need. Orlando didn't have a need. San Antonio MAY have had a need for him, but I don't remember their financial situation. Those were really the only contenders going INTO the season besides Miami.
