2010-11 NBA PLAYOFFS

While I think it makes logistical sense for the 2-3-2 format in the Finals, it definitely gives a competitive advantage to the team with HCA.

Ironically enough however, you could make an argument that The Finals is Miami's shortest trip of the postseason (Philly, Boston and Chicago).

IF the Heat can hit their 18-20 footers, they would have blown out the Mavs! The Mavs have very little defense and are playing Miami smart...packing the of the middle and daring them to make their open jumpers. Alot of Miami missed shots were open shots. But in the end, this is only game one.

..that is all this is... Miami 1, Dallas 0.

The difference in game one.. JJ Barea 2 points

Good win for the Heat

I didn't see anything last night that can't be overcome by the Mavs. Jason Terry, Peja and Barea weren't the scoring threat they normally are off the bench. No biggie.

and its funny because i think the heat shot 38% and still won the game. we weren't even playing great offensively. basically i don't think game one told us much on how this series is going to go. we'll know more after game two. for sure the mavs faced a defense last night they haven't faced in the playoffs

Good points. I'm biased, so I didn't think of it from that standpoint. Should be a good series!

Are you kidding Rey? The Mavs showed everyone their plan on defense. Pack the middle playing alot of zone and dare the Heat to make their jump shots. Last night, most of the Heats missed shots were WIDE open 18 to 20 footers. But I tell you what, if that is there complete strategy for defense...they could be in trouble.
