2010-11 NBA PLAYOFFS

The last time Miami has defeated Dallas was game 6 of the 2006 NBA Finals....that's 10 straight wins for the Mavs over the Heat. HOWEVER, this is a MUCH different Heat team....even from three months ago.

The Mavs win 1 game in Big D, but the Heat prove to be too much......Heat in 5

As much as I would love to agree, I see Miami in 7. I just cannot see either team winning less than 2 games.

THERE, I agree. But until the Magic sign more to help....would YOU, being Dwight Howard sign an extension?
If you were a top free agent, would you sign with the Magic not knowing Howard's status??

Signing the extension now would allow Howard to make max money under the old CBA for the next four seasons. Who knows what the next CBA will bring??

Not to mention...the NBA has their official villian for years to come. Not the usual thugs, crooks and convicts...but that anti-NBA purist team. If the Heat win it all, this will go against all that is sacred in "team sports" vs. a bunch of superstars thrown together...that is the reason for the most of the hate.

Oh and by the way, this will more than likely gonna be their weakest team...they will get better.

Not necessarily. After a first championship, players tend to get content and lose their hunger.

...from the Orlando Sentinel:

Responding to speculation that he wants to jump to a bigger market when he can became a free agent next year, superstar center Dwight Howard indicated Monday that his strong preference is to remain with the Orlando Magic for the long term.

"I'm not trying to run behind nobody like Shaq or be behind somebody else," Howard said, referencing Shaquille O'Neal's decision to leave the Magic following the 1995-96 season and sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.

"I want to start my own path and I want people to follow my path and not just follow somebody else's path. I want to have my own path, and I want to start that here in Orlando. But I can't do it alone. Not only do I need the right teammates, but I need the city behind me. That's the only way it's going to get done. We can change this small city that we have — this small market that we have — and we can make it a big market."

Sounds like he's calling out Shaq, LeBron, Bosh and the city of Orlando. Very respectable!!

Even though the Celtics benefited from it in 07-08 I hate the 2-3-2 format. Why change after you have used the 2-2-1-1-1 format for all other series.

Looks like there should be two poll questions:

Who do you want to win the finals??

Who do you think will win the finals??

:)

Mavericks

Heat in 6

Most likely trying to minimize travel, since obviously the Finals includes an eastern and western team...
