2010-11 NBA Basketball Season

My Finals prediction:

Celtics over Lakers in the rubber match (of this generation).

Call me a homer, but I'm not sure that Miami has an answer for the beef the Celtics will have inside once K-Perk comes back in January. (Perk, O'Neal Boys, KG and Baby).

Strictly hypothetical question:

If say, Paul Pierce gets into a fight with LeBron tonight, does Pierce get a standing O at the Q tomorrow night?

Pierce has done a REASONABLE job on LeBron in the past, and I think the combo of Celtics bigs could at least contain Bosh. That leaves Wade, and I have to admit that could be a major problem.

IMO, there's matchup problems on BOTH sides, and that's why this season series should be VERY interesting. :)

Well.....Things are different because back then, as in Cleveland...if you did a "reasonable" job on Lebron...you had a better than 50-50 chance of stopping anyone else on the Cavs. Face it, it was ALL about Lebron. The ENTIRE offense was based on him. Not in Miami. THE "x-factor" for the HEAT and the entire league will be..."ok, we relatively slowed down Lebron and Bosh with our main 2 guys....ok...who will cover Wade...."

Boston's advantage is height. But most of their height is older...slower. CAN experience OUTPLAY age....?

Man this season is gonna be fun.....:D:up

There are a lot more title threats in the East.

I could see at least 4 Eastern Conference teams represented in the NBA Finals- Celtics, Heat, Magic, Bulls.

In the West, the Lakers are a runaway favorite- with Dallas and Oklahoma City next in line, but not seen as mega-threats.

However, I am picking Dallas to win the West.

And point guard. Rajon Rondo gets better every season.

In the West, don't forget about Utah. Sure, the Jazz lost Carlos Boozer, but they added a VERY underrated Al Jefferson.

Bill thinks the Southeast will be the NBA's most competitive division.

What do you consider to be the least competitive NBA division this year?

When it rains, it pours- and for now, it seems to be pouring on Miami.

Granted, starting on the road is tougher than opening at home, but still.

Crying all the way to the bank
