2010-11 NBA Basketball Season

The story of this game....Allen hitting ALL his 3 pts with NO ONE in his face and Wade COMPLETELY disappearing!! I mean NO WHERE to be found. And HOW can you leave one of the best shooters in the history of the NBA.....alone for 3s.

We're about two weeks into the season. Here's what I have learned so far:

last year's NBA Finals teams are looking mighty strong so far.

the Central Division (Chicago, Cleveland, Milwaukee) and Northwest Division (Thunder, Jazz, Nuggets, Blazers ) both look like they'll be wide open this year

The Southwest Division looks like a potential Murderer's Row with Dallas, New Orleans, San Antonio, and even Memphis is a team to keep an eye on.

With the exception of the Lakers, can anybody else play defense in the Pacific Division?

John Wall is looking very good for a rookie

No team has ever finished an NBA season undefeated. I vaguely remember that back in the early 1970s, some manager was asked in late April about the half a dozen game lead that an opposing team had established, and he said that he was worried because, if they won all the rest of their games for the season, there was no way his team could ctch them.

It has NOTHING to do with being soft. It has EVERYTHING to do with some terrible perimeter defense. Last night was a perfect example. D-Wade...8 points on 2-12 shooting. HORRIBLE. Ray Allen....NO ONE...and O do mean NO ONE in his face ALL night.

OK....LOL! You can continue your knee jerking reaction now....:haha:haha:haha

EDIT: AND there is no doubt that this guy hates Lebron as much as those in Cleveland....but disguises as "responsible journalism". LMAO!!!!

The Heat ARE soft, and you are in denial if you believe otherwise

2/3rds of that "Dream Team" is soft. Bosh is the softest big in the league and LeBron always defers blame to others. Wade is the toughest one on the team, but now he doesn't get the ball anymore since LeBron took over.

That team is so soft, we should dub them Team "Smush Smush".

They are not the traditional Eastern Conference team....that for sure. They still have some serious issues and that is someone else should be handling the ball and terrible perimeter defense. Last night, Bosh AND Haslim was banging inside. The two main issues was Wade's disappearance and ....lack of perimeter defenses. The same can be said in the Utah game.

But don't let those facts get in the way of your little rant.... ;-)

And as for your 2 cents....lol! I didn't see any of this so called "soft" talk when you were gushing like a little when you were throw rumors around him being traded to your CAVS when they had NOTHING when it came to inside offense.

And the CAVS would stain themselves if could get Bosh NOW....

Don't fool yourself for one minute...;-)

Phil isn't gonna talk crap about another team for no reason, its not his style. If it was his own team, he would be bashing them in the media though. He would call Bosh softer than Kwame Brown for example. BTW, speaking of which, too bad you don't have any great veteran leadership on your team, because Bosh is going to need help improving his soft play, which he will not get from Wade(who is a soft player) and LeBron who used a bumped elbow as an excuse last year.

Believe me when I tell you, I know Phil alot more than you know. He does not feed HALF bullsh**. He he tells it like it is. He is just gets to the point without being an a$$**** like some coaches. Bosh's issue is not soft play, his issue is getting acclamated to being 3rd option on the team. In Toronto, he AVERAGED 18 shots a game last year. That ain't gonna happen in Miami....it will be MAYBE 10 to 12 touches a game....which is exactly what he has averaged the last 5 games....and he is averaging 16.5 points a game and 7 boards. Your boy Bynum, averages 5 points LESS and only 2 rebounds more...and cannot seem to stay healthy. So tell me...WHO seems to be soft?

And calling Wade soft is comical. Last year, he averaged almost 10 FT per game, easily in the top 5 in the NBA in attempts, and stating he attacks the basket. Kobe on the other hand, averages almost 2 FT attempts LESS. Does this make HIM soft since he is not attacking the basket as much?

UTAH does it AGAIN!!! They come from behind(at one point, down 11 in the early stages of the 4th quarter) to win on the road against 3 good teams in hostile environments! I am VERY impressed with this team.

This might be a team that could give teams alot of problems down the road.

Wade goes down on and gets injured every play(Paul Pierce moments is what I'll call them). Kobe used to attack the basket, but the truth is, he's old. He is broken down and he also doesn't need to attack the basket, because he can just pass it to a wide open player any time he has the ball.
If you think Phil Jackson says everything as it is, then the joke is on you ;)
What does Bynum have to do with anything? Bynum hasn't been touted as a super star. The only thing I know is that Bynum has contributed more to a championship team than anyone on the Heat not named Dwyane Wade has. Stats only tell part of the story. I am sure Bynum would have at least made an effort to contest a Rondo dunk unlike Bosh. Bosh would rather just watch the highlight from the side so he doesn't have to see it on SportsCenter.

LOL! I was part of the media team that covered the BULLS is the 90s....believe me when I tell you, I know Phil pretty well enough to stand by my comments. ;)

And Wade is injured on every play? really? serious? And Kobe, he is "broken down" ...so he has tendered up a little huh? That means soft dude... Michael was still going to basket late into his career.;) And as far as Bynum, did not tout him as a super star...Just with "soft" numbers and a tendency to be injured...ALOT...which more than likely equals...yep, you thought it...soft.

Stats may not say EVERYTHING....but they sure as hell don't lie.

Michael didn't have as much wear late in his career as Kobe did. Hell, Michael took time off from basketball.
"Soft" numbers? Numbers cannot be soft. Bynum is a glorified role player and nothing more. That does not make him soft. Having knee problems doesn't make you a soft player either. It isn't like he is being injured by another player - he is being injured most of the time from hard falls because he is putting in the effort.
I don't care that you covered the Bulls in the 90s, because if you did, you would realize that Phil never says anything without there being a spin on it. You think Phil said the Lakers can't win 70 games but the Heat can just to say that it is what he truly believes? No, it isn't what he believes. He said it to motivate his guys. When he is asked a question about the Heat, something that he could care less about, he is going to just give a politically correct response and move on. Phil could care less what is going on with that team, and his comments show it. He gave a half-assed comment on the situation. Phil is the zen master because of his mind tricks on the opposition, his own team, and yes, THE MEDIA.
BTW, the Heat lost two in a row. Do you remember what Wade said about losing a few games in a row?
This team is all talk and no performance. The roster is way too thin, it is a terribly put together ball club. You can have 3 individual talents, but none of them know how to play together, nor will they learn how to play together, because they have no role players or veteran leadership.

BTW, soft player usually refers to someone that is scared of contact and playing physically. That is why Pau was called soft in the 08 Finals, because he was intimidated and abused by KG. Kinda like what is happening to Bosh and whatever other YMCA big man the Heat bring in(because Spo is too stupid to start Z. Although Z is washed up and can't play defense well, he is still better than the other guys.)
