2009 NBA Playoffs

What's wrong with being confident? I'd have a problem if he DIDN'T think his team was going to win. He's was asked a direct question and he answered it. Simple.

The only thing I fear is that ESPN and company are going to run with this and turn it into something it's not.

The guarantee of wins is so over used it's almost stupid. Not to mention that the media will run with it.

....make you look extremely stupid most of the time....

I bet if one of the Magic players used it....you sure as hell would be complaining about being shown up.....

AND by the way...since we are talking about Mo Williams....

Johnson's flagrant foul rescinded

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The NBA has rescinded the flagrant foul against Orlando Magic guard Anthony Johnson for elbowing Cleveland's Mo Williams in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals.

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said after the team's shootaround Tuesday he was glad the league took back the call.

Johnson drove the lane and extended his elbow in the second quarter of the Magic's victory Sunday. Williams was struck around the left eye and knocked to the floor.

Williams was called for a blocking foul, and Johnson was whistled for a flagrant foul. Williams' bleeding, puffy eye needed four stitches. He called the play a cheap shot.

The Magic lead the Cavaliers 2-1 in the best-of-seven series. Game 4 is Tuesday night.

I guess throwing elbows is ok now, huh? Why would they reverse this? Johnson slung his elbow fiercely at Mo's face. There's not place for that in this game.

Inadvertant elbows happen all the time. Not all of them were on purpose.

Salsa Dwight did it in the Celtics series..

Well, intent is highly debatable. To me, it looked like he slung his elbow fiercely at Mo's face.

screw that, it was intended to hurt plain and simple...also what about big dwights elbow that he threw at I think it was andy that didnt land, I am sorry I had respect for Orlando but they seem to be playing dirty lately!

it looked that way to me too but as you said it's debatable. i'm not 100% sure it was intentional but wouldn't doubt it.

You're right. Things are getting pretty chippy and Dwight is slinging elbows too. 2 more T's on D-Howard and he's suspended for a game. He already has 5 this postseason.

Oh Boy.....here we go....:

Mo Williams of Cleveland Cavaliers guarantees series win - ESPN

There are times where I wish guys would shut-up and just play.....

by the way its funny how people view things, I was listening to Tony Rizzo and Aaron Goldhammer on 850 here in cleveland and they were upset saying that mo had no confidence when he said they had matchup problems with orlando, and NOW people are going to say he is cocky and shouldnt be doing this crap (promising a win) I guess its a darn if you dont darn if you do.
