Im glad the Celtics pulled it out last night. A first round defeat would have been embarrassing but I do not hold out much hope without Garnet and Powe. Even fully armed Im not sure there is any stopping Lebron this year.
Heat-Hawks is another blowout. What a surprise. Cleveland ought to roll over the Hawks as easily as they did Detroit, especially since the Hawks won't bother to show up for half the games.
ditto. In a weird way Id like my team , Boston, to lose the next round so I can sit back and root for Lebron. With Powe and Garnett out its futile IMO. They showed their heart against the bulls and thats enough for me.I would be SHOCKED if it's anything other than Lakers-Cavs in the Finals. Everything else is preliminaries this year.

Magic in 6- The Bulls series took a lot of energy out of the C's. I think fatique and injuries may catch up to Boston. Also, Orlando has won in Beantown this year, so the Magic will have no fear of starting on the road,
Not on the road they won't. The Hawks only play hard when they feel like it. I think they get down 0-2, play hard in Game 3, maybe even win it, and then get buried from there. Lebron's got more competitiveness in his pinky than the Hawks have as a team.Cavs in 5- Cleveland's better. Atlanta has the talent, but while I don't see them winning on the road, they could win one at Phillips Arena. IMO, Atlanta will play a lot harder than Detroit did in round 1.
Not on the road they won't.
I saw Game 6 plus all four games in Boston last year where they got hammered. These guys just like to play for the home fans.Did you miss game 4 when Atlanta won big on the road?

Miami lost because the young kids just not mature enough and there was a lack of inside toughness. This team improved WAY beyond anyone's imaginations....28 MORE wins than last year.....been a very long time since a team had THAT much improvement. The future is VERY bright for the HEAT.
Beasley and Chalmers are only gonna get better, and the Heat will probably win 50 games next season.
For once, it looks like the pendulum is swinging to the Eastern Conference.
More teams (Atlanta, Chicago, Miami) are on the way up in the East. I can only think of Portland as a team that is ascending in the West.
Salsa, I'm sorry about the Heat's season ending early.
I felt conflicted during the final game- on one hand, I had predicted the Hawks would win in seven, but given the bad luck that your teams have gone through recently, I felt for you.
Besides, I'm sure you would have been happy with 30-35 wins, let alone the fifth seed in the East.
