2009 NBA Playoffs

HEAT are in BIG trouble if Wade is as hurt as he appeared last night, his back just about gave out on him and they were talking on local radio and TV he was in serious pain. Spolestra did NOTHING to prepare his team with THE biggest "WHAT IF" there was...."what IF Wade gets hurt, WHO will pick up the slack....?" There was ZERO FIELD GOALS from the bench. The defense was spectacular...

I just can't get over this final score: Nuggets 121, Hornets 63.

A 58 point victory on the ROAD in a PLAYOFF game........absolutely mind-boggling!

Unbelievable. I had New Orleans taking this series.....glad I don't live in Vegas. :)

For those of you who watched the last two games at the Palace of Auburn Hills, you surely heard chants of "MVP" and crowd roars that accompanied play by the Cavaliers. But wait.... this was a road game! This was supposed to be hostel territory! What? How? Why?........

Word out of Detroit was that the Pistons ticket department sent out a mass email to Cavaliers season ticket holders to offer tickets to the away game. Also, Pistons ticket holders sold off their tickets to the rival Cavs fans like mass exodus outside the arena. (As low at $11/each).

By the end of the game, there were more Cleveland fans than Detroit fans! That's got to be discouraging to an aging Pistons team, playing on their "own court". Reports showed the Pistons to Cavs fan ratio was 60-40! The strong Cavs support was so evident by the end of the game that LeBron thanked the fans for making the 4-hour trip in his post-game interview.

I cant speak for all piston fans. But this team gave up a long time ago, in fact after last years playoff defeat to the celtics this team was done. All year they played unispired basketball. My view is the team gave up and quite frankly got "tired" of playing with each other. I was not going to invest my hard earned money on a team that was playing the string out.

I do understand the Cavs were the much better team, I would have no problem paying seeing a team play hard and lose do to the fact that they were not the better team, but when you throw in that gave no effort I had no desire to invest in them

I saw the highlights, and I thought Wade didn't look right. I hope it isn't anything serious. If it is the Heat's days are numbered.

Thoughts on the Weekends Playoff Action.

1. Boy guess I was wrong about the Eastern Conference, other than the Pistons starting the off-season 4 games early they all have been great series.

2. The Lakers finally took care of business in Game 4, since Utah can't win a road game this series is done.

3. I have a trade proposal for two teams that need a shakeup...The Suns trade Amare Stoudamire and Robin Lopez to the Pistons for Teyshaun Prince and Jason Maxiell. Detroit gets a offensive threat to team with Stuckey and a young shot blocker, the Suns a versatile forward who isn't afraid to play defense and a inside banger.

4. The Spurs are dead, long live the King. :D

Have your "guy" call my "guy". I'll do that one right now.

Thoughts on Monday's Action:

1. The Nuggets are playing their series against the Hornets the right way, punish Chris Paul on every play...the Hornets are a one-man show. That strategy though won't work in the next series against Mavericks who have several players who the Nuggets will matchup problems.

2. Despite Jermaine O'Neal's resurrection in the playoffs and Al Horford's disappearance, the Heat are also a one-man show...if Wade's on they win, if not they lose.

3. Was last night the end of the Jazz as we know them...Boozer and Okur can opt out, Milsap is a Free Agent and they would love to trade Kirilenko but his deal is an albatross.

They said he had his back iced down for a few hours after the game and there was a 50-50 chance he MIGHT NOT play in Atlanta....I would not say the HEAT days are numbered...they are DONE!

Could the officiating have been any worse down the stretch? Rondo didn't even come close to the ball, let alone touch it, and he made Miller bleed. That was an obvious flagrant foul, should have been called, but it wasn't. Celtics won't make it past the next round anyway, seeing as they can barely handle the Bulls.
