yup... Could be a diffrent series indeed in 09.
Thoughts on the first 2 days of the MLB playoffs:
1. So far pitching is having a big impact on the playoffs...
2. Which bring me to while everyone focus' on Matt Holliday's flub in the ninth, nobody mentions that Ryan Franklin came undone after that and the "genius" Tony LaRussa stood around and didn't try to stop it...
3. ...and what's happened to the Cards offense, Albert Pujols in particular.
4. If the Rockies do take the series against the Phillies to 5, can the Phillies trust sending Cole Hamels to the mound.
5. Jeter and a-rod with big hits in the playoffs, must be the New Yankee Stadium.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but in Saturday's contest between the Phillies and Rockies, Denver is expecting a game time temperature of 30°F with a 60% chance of snow!!!
It was mentioned on ESPN.
My son is a little North of Denver, and he says they had light snow yesterday afternoon.

Is he the same umpire who handed the Red Sox the game against the Angels a couple of weeks ago with some atrocious calls?
