Unfortunately for the Mets, I think the Marlins. Why? The Cubs are going to eventually be in rest mode (and you can't blame them......they earned it).

BTW, there's a huge storm headed to the Northeast that could wreak havoc on the Nationals-Phillies, Marlins-Mets, and Yankees-Red Sox series.

By storm, do you mean snow, rain, or really bad wind?

They're calling for up to 6 inches of rain, with strong winds in the Boston area. The storm is supposed to start here early Friday morning going into all day Saturday. The storm is headed from the south, which means it will hit the NYC area first (probably tomorrow night, putting the Cubs-Mets finale in question).

If this storm is as bad as predicted and these games MUST be played, it could really wreak havoc on the playoff schedule.

The D-Backs lost to the Cardinals, and the Dodgers magic number to clinch the NL West is down to 2. It could be down to 1 by the end of the night.

The Twins hang on and beat the White Sox, 3-2.

Updated AL Central Standings

Chicago...............86-71..................-
Minnesota...........86-72..................0.5

IMO, the winner of tomorrow nights game..............WINS the AL Central.

Guys,
the next four nights are gonna be exciting with the AL Central, and the NL East and wildcard races!

HERE COME THE TWINS !!!

The METS are done.....EVEN if the make the playoffs. That bullpen is a mess and they would have to pray that they outbash every team they play by atleast 7-10 and hope their relief pitching only has to pitch an inning or two.....and cross their collective fingers their relief pitching only give up less than 4 runs combined in those innings.

NOT GOOD if you wanna win a World Series.

The Tigers defeated the Rays this afternoon, and put on hold the Rays winning their first ever division championship. The Rays can still capture the AL East title tonight IF the Red Sox lose to the Indians.

D-Backs getting plastered by the Cardinals 10-3.

The team that looked invincible in April isn't capable of beating a beer-league team today.

This, IMO, is a bigger failure than the Mets. The Mets were mediocre until Manuel was hired; the Diamondbacks were SUPPOSED to be the cream of the crop in the N.L.

Does anyone think the Twins are a legit playoff threat?

IMO, there is NO way they get out of the first round.

The White Sox could at least make a run- the Twins are a one-and-done team and have known for being horrific in the postseason.

They have won one playoff series in seven years.

Name me three reasons why I should fear the Twins in the playoffs if they make it.

Arizona's eliminated.

What the hell happened to the D-Backs? They looked so good in April.

They seemed as good as the Angels in the spring, yet are about as impressive as a beer-league team these days.

Given how Bill has rightfully ripped Manny for quitting the Red Sox before he got traded to the Dodgers, I realized something.

Sabathia was awful in the first few months of the season before he got traded to the Brewers. Why didn't HD MM rip Sabathia for going from super-stinky with one team to invincible in another?

It seemed as if C.C. couldn't find the strike zone with a GPS in April and May as opposed to now.

Dodgers win the NL West.

Joe Torre NL Manager of the Year

Freeway Series, anyone????

That would be cool as would a Chicago subway series.

I find it ironic that if the White Sox and Mets get into the playoffs, the only team out of the six teams that play in the three largest markets to miss the playoffs would be...............................the New York Yankees.

Teams that are jinxed in certain places/stadiums

FSN may get rid of national programming
