I find it funny that my Mets bullpen blew another save; that is 2 in 2 days with the division on the line and 27 total this season . . . I am not a mathematician but without those blown saves, we should have run away with the division!

I have tied the white flag around the pole and expect me to be waving it by the end of the week! :( :( :(

Don't give up hope, the way the Brewers are playing, it's very possible that the East will have two teams in the playoffs.

not a happy camper for obvious reasons. I don't know what to say. The Mets bullpen blows it again. You would think by this time the whole bullpen would admit they stink and get it over with.
With that being said, believe it or not, I think the Mets will back in to the playoffs. The only good thing is that we are hitting a ton but EVERYTIME WE LOAD THE BASES OR WE SHOULD TACK ON RUNS, WE DON'T, AND EVERYTIME WE LOSE THE GAME!!!!!
I had to put this in bold because it's true. It's almost like a curse or something. Everytime we don't add runs we lose the game. You would think the team would get it by now.

WOW, are the Brewers ever struggling. The Brewers are once again losing to the Phillies (Phils are going for the 4 game sweep), 6-0 in the fifth inning. Coming into the game, the Brew Crew's record was 3-10 in Sept.

Well, isn't that a nice bowl of sunshine. I need the Brew Crew to beat the Phils because of the Mets sucking this weekend and they can't do it. Everyone talks about the Mets choking, but what about the Brewers? They could choke again just like they did last year.
Will Ned Yost's job be in jeopardy if they do choke?

On the Fox pregame yesterday, Ken Rosenthal indicated that Yost would be fired if the Brewers cough up a fur ball and miss the playoffs.

Ned Yost should be fired...this is two seasons in a row that he has had a lead in September and will fail to make the post season, we gave up some of our prospects and now can look forward to crappy baseball for another 5 years+ Thanks Ned and Thank you Brewers. Wonderfull to see a tallented team struggle in September. If they fail to make the post season, which is what they are trying to accomplish, Ned should loose his job, The managment did everything in there power to get them there and CC has done everything in his just to have a team fall apart around him. I am not a proud Brewer fan today, or for September for that matter.

oh jesus christ relax, brewers should be more sickened by the smelly cubs fans taking over Miller Park right now.

I don't see how that has anything to do with the Brewers...it is a stadium, and if you watched the last home stand for the Brewers against the Cubs, it was already taken over...there was more people from Chicago there for the game then there was Brewers fans...Thats because Cubs fans are willing to pay 3-5 times as much or in some cases more then that of what they are worth face value. So people can make alot of money back from the season tickets with just one series. And to be a Brewer fan means that you are a true fan, since they have not been to post season since 1982...and counting! Just like I was a Packer fan when sucked through the 80's before Favre was there. So I have every right to be mad at a team that continues to find ways to loose in key moments and Months.

The Cubs magic number to clinch the NL Central is down to 6........after defeating the Astros today.

Brewers dismiss manager Yost | brewers.com: News

Thats awnsers the Ned Yost question. :D

Red Sox are pounding the Rays , 11-1 in the fourth. The Sox have hit five homers tonight and if they hold on to win this game, they will be tied for first place for the first time since the middle of July.

Red Sox win. The Sox and Rays are now in a virtual tie for first place in the AL East:

TB......................88-60..............595 winning pct.
BOS....................89-61..............593 winning pct.

Even though both the Rays and Red Sox will end up in the playoffs, I think it's very important to win the East. Why?

AL East Winner: open the playoffs at home vs. White Sox or Twins

AL East runner-up: open the playoffs on the road vs. the Angels

BIG difference.

I wouldn't think it's that big a difference because even if the Sox open on the road against the Angels, the Sox OWN the Angels in the playoffs so I don't think it would be that big a deal. If the Red Sox beat the Angels, than, I think, the Sox will coast to the World Series.
