By the 7th inning tonight, Me-Me will probably be on his cell with Boros.
What's the rule on how big a lead has to be for a closer to get a save?
There are a lot of variables concerning the save rules.
But I think if the Phillies have a 4 run lead, and there are NO runners on base when Lidge comes in, he's not eligible for the save.Don't quote me on that though.
There is one really dumb save rule that I do know:
Hypothetically, a pitcher could enter a game with his team ahead by 15 runs, BUT as long as that pitcher pitches FOUR innings, he gets a save.
After the fifth inning, his asking price went up yet again.
Well, it took 5 games, but we finally got a shot of Alyssa Milano.
I had the over/under at 15.
Nice touch, by FOX. They showed the Gibson homer which took place 20 yrs. ago tonight and they had the call with Jack Buck. I like when Joe was introducing the clip "Take it away, Mr. Buck".
