If Boston and Philly win the rest of their games, what's the earliest possible World Series start day? I doubt most of the country wants to see Seattle/Tampa Bay.
The World Series is locked into a Wed., October 22nd start.

It's still very possible that we could be seeing a Red Sox-Rays game 7 next Sunday night.
WOW! What a conflict that would be for Tampa sports fans!

What Conflict ????
Your baseball team is in the ALCS for the first time in history and the Football team is only in week 7, where do you think the TV's will be set ?
Jimbo
What conflict? As if people in Tampa actually care about the Rays. They haven't even been selling out their playoff games!WOW! What a conflict that would be for Tampa sports fans!
EJ, Cal, Eck and Harold are doing the pre/postgame show on site at Fenway.
Jeez! The Red Sox are getting smoked.
They sure are.
IMO, this was a bigger game for the Red Sox than the Rays.
The Sox have Wakefield and Dice-K going the next two games, both of which can be very taxing on a bullpen.
The big question for game 4: Will the good or bad Tim Wakefield show up?
Bill, has Byrd been relegated to the bullpen?
They sure are.

I STILL don't think Chip is as bad as Joe Buck.
Buck doesn't show ANY emotion, as I saw in games 1 and 2 of the NLCS. Contrast that with Chip Caray's call on Boston's series-winning hit against the Angels.
I'm sorry, but I can't stand Joe Buck as a baseball announcer. I have no problems with him as a football announcer, but he is not tailor-made for baseball because he lacks emotion.
To be fair, neither is REALLY any good- when I praised Caray over Buck, it's like praising a 2-8 team over an 0-10 team.
