2008 MLB Playoffs

Mike Lowell is out of the Red Sox lineup tonight.

Kevin Youkilis will move to third base, and Mark Kotsay (not Sean Casey???) will play first.

Also, Alex Cora is starting at shortstop tonight because of his relative success against Santana.

This may be the Angels' best chance, IMO.

Boston's ripe for the taking- can the Angels take advantage?

We shall see.

Oh, hey! I love your Phillies this year. They have been fun to watch and you should be pretty damn excited about them. They WILL make it to the NLCS. It's anyone's guess after that.

I have worked near and/or been around Lasorda on and off for the past 10 years. He has become a miserable old bag of wind. He is an Ambassador to the Game without a doubt. However, he can be a real pain in the ass at times.

All the best to your beloved Chase & Co. in the playoffs!:up

Gee, you do know Tommy. He was like that when he was young as well. The rest of his family were great people though. Most of the neighborhood people were real happy when he sold his house to Phillies shortstop Bobby Wine. To be fair the neighbors that did not like him were not the friendliest people either. Geting too personal now. Better shut up.

Poor TBS. Last year, all five series they carried started with one team up 2 games to 0 (including the Rockies-D-Backs NLCS ).

So far this year, three out of four series have started 2-0 (with the Red Sox-Angels currently at 1-0).

If the White Sox get swept by the Rays, how embarassing would that be?

Would it compare to if the Cubs got eliminated by the Dodgers?

After watching these series a few days now, IMO, the biggest mismatch is Brewers-Phillies.

Bully for you!

I just love the generalization of some people on here.

Not quite sure what your point is here...If your offended by my Patriot fan remark, I can justify it with no problem, but again, that is a story for another thread!!!...

As for the Philly and Met references, I really don't think I have to justify the Philly thing...and the Met thread with the video of those NY morons putting the beer glasses on the passed out clown speaks for itself....

But then again, thank God I don't live on the east coast, (or west coast, for that matter) and think the rest of the world revolves around me!!!...;)

As can I with fans from ANY team ..........including YOURS Mr. Colts fan........so what's YOUR point??

So EVERY fan of those teams is an obnoxious jerk.

Gotcha.

Geez, how we all got along, without your wisdom on this site, is beyond me!

Your Honor, the defense rests.

Like I said, that is for another thread...we are already really off topic on this...

Where did I say EVERY fan???...

Geez, how we all got along, without your wisdom on this site, is beyond me!

Thank you for proving my point!!!...

That umpire may have just cost the Angels their season!

As far as I'm concerned, the Angels are truly cursed against Boston.

This reminds me of the Packers dominance over the 49ers in the mid-to-late 90s!

By Monday, the two best teams in baseball could be OUT of the playoffs.

This reminds me of 2000, when I felt Oakland, Chicago, and San Francisco were the three best teams in baseball.

None of them could get out of the first round, and we got stuck with a lame Subway Series and sooooo much New York slobbering (No offense Sandra and Mets82).

IMO, had the 2000 Yankees faced better teams like the A's or White Sox or Giants, they wouldn't have threepeated.

Crisp was clearly safe.

Red Sox are a deeper team than the Angels.

Howie Kendrick is killing the Angels.

I see a new Mastercard commercial and the Angels:

Total Wins in a Season : 100

Total Salary: 120 Million

Not getting out of the first round . . . priceless!!!

I am sorry, but I just had to this. As a Mets fan, I am wondering if Angels fans are hurting more than us now . . . you are used to winning all season and then you run into a "revamped" Red Sox team who is now on the verge of a sweep! Has to hurt and I am sorry you are going through this frustration!

OK. I am awake and I have pinched myself several times. Last night was not a dream. It really happened. I am like those Cub fans I saw in the seats of Wrigley Thursday night. I am shocked, stunned and in disbelief. I am truly walking around numb.

But, it IS a new day and as the Skipper said last night "No one has won 3 games yet, so we play another game." I am fully in support of my team and will be cheering them on tomorrow night.

As matter of fact, it's raining here in L.A. today so I wore my red Angels coach's jacket and red Angels cap to the market shopping. I walked around proudly as I heard some supportive comments and some really smart-ass comments from Dodger fans. No matter. It's not over yet and I can't give up on them yet.

Who's the biggest NFL disappointment so far this season?

Best World Series of all-time?
