06/07 Stanley Cup Champs?

Yep, that 3rd goal was bogus. I can't believe neither ref called the push into the net. I understand that reviews cannot call penalties, offisides, etc, but a goal should be able to get negated due to niedermayer pushing the stick on Hasek. heck on replay you can see the stick flex.

You guys are most certainly right on that third goal. I hope this doesn't cost us this series. At any rate it was a Black Sunday in Detroit, with all three teams losing. I'm sure Millen was even somewhere plotting some stupid move. Anyhow I'm holding hope for a win in Anahiem, to regain home-ice. This was the first game in the playoffs that I thought the Wings were definitely out hit. They should have won, if it weren't for the refs.

I don't care if hasek ends up letting one in. He looks solid tonight. Not many routine saves (does he ever have a routine save? :) )

I missed the 1st period, but it seems that it's like the anti-kaharski crew tonight. But then agian, the ducks look out of sync and are taking alot of bad penalties.

Ok, this game solidfies my distaste for VS camera choices. They zoom too much and have odd placement.

Well, this thread is starting to become a Wings thread, so let me change up a bit.

Have you guys been watching the sens/sabres? Emery is looking stellar for the Sens.

Nice adjustment by the Wings last night. It's now a three game series with Detroit holding the home ice advantage. Ottawa is playing very well...it seems like winning the Presidents Cup (Buffalo) is an almost sure kiss of death.

yeah, I got to thinking that the line shufling of the Wings and the matchups the Ducks tried to match with caused the poor play of Anaheim. Ya know no chemistry of the line combo's for Anaheim.

People talk about Datsyuk/Zetterberg/Holmstrom line all the time, but I think Franzen and Samuelson are very underrated players for the Wings and putting Zetterberg on their line caused major headaches for the Ducks with line matchups and combo's

A much needed blowout. Vicious hit on Homer. How did pronger escape justice on that?

Paul,
Incase you missed it,
Pronger has been suspended for tonights game, probably should have been for more than one game, but at least something was done.
It should be interesting to see what is said before and during the game about Pronger's absence.
Lets hope for another solid game for the Wings :)

Jimbo
Go Wings !!!

I can never be a Star fan for they will always be know as the folks who stole the Minnesota North Stars.

Yep exactly. Lets not forget most recently the Carolina Hurricanes, Calgary Flames, the hated Colorado Avalanche, and Phoneix Coyotes!

Of those tems, I really hope Winnipeg gets a team back.

What do you think is going to happen next on Cubs land?

Yankees tied for last place in the EAST!!
