OSU vacated everything from the bowl game last year. It's like they didn't even go.

I highly doubt they gave back the money they recieved from the bowl game...but I could be wrong.

I doubt that, no matter who goes from the west. I think it's funny how Georgia can look terrible at the beginning of the season, start playing better, then all of a sudden they're the hottest thing in college football and should be placed above others...as in '07. Georgia's PR machine is very strong it seems.I might have, don't remember. I did argue against UGA a few years ago in favor of LSU and Ohio St.Course it doesn't matter as this years SEC championship game will be a repeat of '05![]()
Did they give Arkansas their pride back?OSU vacated everything from the bowl game last year. It's like they didn't even go.

Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith took a proactive approach, perhaps anticipating that the self-imposed sanctions he already announced would carry little with the committee, and announced that the university would forfeit its share of money from the Buckeyes Sugar Bowl appearance.
Each conference receives a substantial check for sending a team to a BCS bowl game and those earnings are then split up among all the teams in the conference. Ohio State already erased the win over Arkansas from the record books, and now it will fork over its $338,881 in winnings.
Wrong 'em boyo

So? Vacated Smacated... big deal to the team that could have played in that game ahead of liars and those that broke rules.
See? Haters just be hatin' no matter what. It's what they do, it's who they be.
Sandra
umm not hating at all...not once have I said I hated them - I just don't consider it fair but it is what it is and another team will be screwed out of a bowl game spot - lets just hope a low tier bowl picks them cause that's all that is left.
Damn right we won't be turning down any bowl. Our players have been punished enough. Time to move on people!!!
But on another note....Ole Rich Rod getting a big raise.. almost 10Million for 5 years with bonuses if they make a BCS Bowl and NC game.
No certainly not but it happened and the results are different... now back to my healthy buckeyes.
His mommy probably wants him close to home. Where else would he go in Ohio?![]()
Yeah that's BS!! They shouldn't have been allowed to play in last years bowl game but noooooo players promised and look what happened...total bs!

They would be best to turn down the bowl this year as a preemptive strike. They still do not have the full ruling from the NCAA and they could still have a bowl ban imposed. Impose your own bowl ban this year when you were not any good and go to a bowl next when the team may be better.
