XBOX One Owners Thread

Unsurprisingly, the Xbox One exclusive that was released the same day as Fallout 4 sold about as well as tofu at Meatopia..

Yeah, they kind of put that game out to die. It's unfortunate because every time I hear someone in the games press talk about it they say how great it is. Between it launching on the same day as Fallout 4 and the fact that it only came out on Xbox One at launch it didn't have much of a chance.

Maybe when the PC version launches in a few months it will see a bump but I have a feeling that the game will be old news by the time it hits PS4 next year, especially if no one is really playing it now to hype it up.

A new batch of Backwards Compatible games are going to be announced today (note this tweet went out yesterday.)

Microsoft has acknowledged the Reach problem and claims to be working on a fix. Also, it appears that not EVERYONE is experiencing this issue if Reddit is to be believed, but when something like this comes up then it means that the game wasn't properly tested. People are also complaining that Gears of War 3 isn't working well.

My only real experience with Backwards Compatibility so far is when we played Gears 2 Horde Mode. That felt good for the most part. The only thing I remember feeling a little weird was that we couldn't invite each other to the game from the Xbox Ones friends list or from the Xbox One party chat we were in.

This doesn't seem like a big deal until you find out that the Xbox One and Xbox 360 friends lists are totally separate. Even though were were friends on Xbox One we weren't on Xbox 360. I also had a friend invite sitting in my 360 message list that was several months old that I had never seen before. The person sent me the request from their 360 but it only shows when I am in backwards compatibility mode and looking at the 360's guide.

Gears of War 4 has had its vague release date of "Holiday 2016" bumped up to the even more vague release date of "Fall 2016."

Personally I say just keep the original date. I'd rather have a game with an extra month or 2 of polish as opposed to out in time for my birthday that doesn't play well. 343 already destroyed my love of Halo. I hope The Coalition doesn't do the same with Gears.
