X-Box, Playstation, and Wii Game News

Call of Duty and Madden are just a different beast than everything else. They can release a game every year and they have dedicated fan bases that will buy it no matter what even if they don't play any other games.

I've said it before here but one of my college buddies has had a PS4 since launch day and the the only games he has played on it are still Call of Duty Ghosts, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, and Call of Duty Black Ops 3. He has no other trophy data for any other games. I couldn't even convince him to try Rocket League with me when it was free.

Then there are the people like myself who play tons of different games but still buy Call of Duty every year.

That's insane. I couldn't imagine playing just one series of games exclusively on my console. I mean I got really invested in Black Ops 1 but even with that I still would take breaks and delve into other games.

I think what also helps with BO 3 is that Black Ops has become it's own series so to speak, in that there's a large audience that just likes that series, which would explain why this is doing better than the last two games.

Agreed. I can't even get him to try other online shooters. He had no interest in Battlefield 4 and I'm not even going to bother to ask him about Battlefront.

When I use character creation tools in video games I always go one of two ways. Either I try to make some weird approximation of myself or I make something ridiculous. I've never made something quite as grotesque as most of those characters though.

Unfortunately it doesn't sound like most people will see their character's face after the start of the game though. The Giant Bomb guys said that you find helmets near the beginning of the game and once you have one you will always wear it for the defense stat points. If your character is wearing a helmet in the regular game their face will be covered in the cutscenses unless you manually take it off before every big moment.

The need to adopt the system that Mass Effect, Destiny, and even Saint's Row IV used. All of those games had a toggle in the options that would remove your helmet for cutscenes if you wanted to.

I always try to make my characters resemble me. For some reason they always seems to look better than me though, LOL. Last night I worked on my Fallout 4 character and had fun with it. My 6 year old son was sitting there with me helping me out. The fun thing is you can change the way your wife looks in the game too. It's amazing how time consuming just creating a character can be.

So Ubisoft just gave details on the Rainbow 6 Siege Season Pass....

Well.. if nothing else we can't complain about it fracturing the player base. Unless this has some implications in "Year 2" I don't see why anyone being of sound mind and body would want to get this thing.

It looks like this season pass will be $20. Can't see that selling well if all you get is the same content a week earlier than everyone else and some weapon skins though.

Don't get me wrong. I would love to see all online multiplayer games adopt this model. Make the season pass a status symbol instead of locking content behind it.

I think this chart speaks for itself..

Game of Thrones TellTale game, episode 6, is being released today, as well as full retail versions for the consoles. I'm predicting we'll be getting a 50% off deal today on Steam to celebrate.

I think I stopped somewhere around episode 3 to wait for the rest of the episodes to release. Unlike Tales from the Borderlands this one isn't fun enough that I want to start over. I'll just pick up from where I left off a few months ago and finish the game.

It's not that it's a bad game. It's about the same quality as the rest of the recent Tell Tale games. I have just never found myself wanting to replay any of them before TFTB.

Well there is a sale, but it's lackluster to say the least. 25% off. I'll wait for the Christmas sale.

I tried it for a little bit. Not bad but not great. Definitely worth playing since it is free for the first episode.

I looked into it a little more only to see it's more of a shooter-type game than a point-and-click adventure. I think I already have a few RE games, including RE V, in my PS download list that were free Plus games. Maybe I should start there.
