Window phones picking up some traction.

During Microsoft's annual shareholder meeting, CEO Steve Ballmer said that Windows Phone 8, despite its infancy, is helping the firm sell four times as many phones as it did during the same period in 2011.

I am not surprised. Advertising is much improved, and windows 8 coming out for PC and tablet is also helping.

I am seeing more and more wp8 handsets in the wild.

Have they surpassed BB sales in a one-month period yet?

As was pointed out, WP sales weren't high to begin with so saying that they've quadrupled is utterly useless without context.

As an example of context, Android activations have only increased by about 40% year on year... from 700K to > 1m per day.

Yup they so small with a tiny 4" screen u cant see them. Average phone now a days is beyond 4..

You know, I was concerned about hat coming from my gs3. With iOS a large screen is not as much if a concern as it is with android IMO.


Do like that large screen on the N2 though. Loved it on the gs3.
