Windows Phone's

The article explicitly stated it was not related to demand. therefore I asked aloud what might be causing iot. The fact that it might outsell another phone on Amazon does not seem to respond.

I don't think it is related to a parts shortage. My guess is that they misforecast what colors consumers wanted and where to send the stock to.

BTW you seem to be able to get the models in shortage on Amazon so again I don't see why quoting total sales there vs another phone is relevant.

I am saying that the shortages are because of high demand and not production issues as you are saying. If a phone is in high demand at Amazon, I am sure people are going to ATT to buy it too.

Nokia is big in other countries and they opened up a lot of markets this month. I'd guess that just the Nokia name is driving a large demand in Europe.

*During November, the Nokia Lumia 920 will reach Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, the US and Vietnam.

I know, its funny a couple years ago I wondered how nokia was still alive as they never reached deals (well almost never) for verizon to carry their stuff and att didnt push it either...guess I forgot USA isnt the only country in the world, lol...I am always shocked by how much they sell across the seas.

In the Mall of America. Nokia 920 out of stock and people milling around thw window section. Iphone section has one customer looking. The salesmen are pushing windows

I took an iMac in to the West Des Moines Apple store Sunday for a recalled hard drive replacement. That mall does not have a Windows store, but the Apple store was so crowded with people looking at EVERYTHING that I could barely fight my way to the counter with my iMac.

Saleman said people are going for bigger screens and galaxy s3 is also hot

COmpetition for Windows Phone:
iPhone 5
Droid DNA/HTC One X+ (DNA has 1080p / One X+ has 720p but 64GB Memory)
Samsung Galaxy S3
LG Optimus G / Nexus 4 (basically the same phone)
Droid Razor Maxx HD / Razor Maxx

I'm sure there are others, this is off the top of my head.

Lots of great phones out there -- right now is a good time to be shopping for a phone!
