I have to work on Sunday and have several NFL games that I don't want to miss set to record. The first is a 12pm CST start but the 722 currently shows its at 1pm.

Will the 722 handle the time change ok or should I check on it before I leave Sunday morning?

Thanks.

It should be fine but you never know. If it's important, check on it beforehand.

1PM CDT = 12PM CST by the way.

Yes, I knew after the time change 1pm would then be 12pm but didn't know how or when the 722 picks up the time change. I think the actual time change happens about 2am on Sunday but didn't know if this was only reflected when the 722 does its nightly reboot, mine is set for the default of 3am.

I havnt done this but i bet if you scroll back thru the guide there is an hour that is blank or duplcated around 2 AM sunday.

I don't think Dish's guide works that way. I know when I was using SageTV, their guide did that but not Dish's.

There should be two occurrences of the 1am hour in your guide for the fall, and it should be totally missing in the spring. I did look the other day, and Dish only has one occurrence of 1am on Sunday morning.

I think it will likely update when it does its nightly guide download and reset.

Based on the 622, it will almost work. IF you have anything planned for early sunday morning (i.e 12am-8am) you may have trouble. I think it usually corrects the time at the nightly maintenance. But I have a show I regularly recorded at 3am, and it missed it last year. It caught the show after (or is it before it).
Definitely check your schedule and also if you have a show during the night, pad it just in case.

The Dish guides just ignore the time change until it happens. So shows seem to have shifted an hour later but come 2 or 3AM the times will be relabeled and everything will work out. DO NOT try to outguess the guide, you will be wrong.

Once again Dish tried to miss the show I have set to record at 3am. This time I only caught it by padding to start 1 hour early. Based On time put out by the station to remind people about the daylight standard time change, it also recorded the next show at 4-5am, instead of 3-4am.
