Will Dish's red slingbox work with directv?

I have a slingbox I got from Dish Network (red) when I was with them for a few days. Now I am back with directv and wondering if I can use that slingbox with directv.... I tried plugging it into the back of the HR34, but when going onto Slingbox's website it's not finding it on the network.

Any advice?

It isn't a full sling box. It's a sling adapter built to work with Dish software. Plus you have to login to dishonline.com to use it instead of the regular sling website. To use on the an iPhone you have to use the Dish app instead of the sling app. None of this is compatible with Directv equipment.

You would have to buy an actual slingbox to use it with Directv.
