Why do dishnetwork use an installer on upgrade?

the csr's would rather mail if they could. unless your account shows all the requirements needed for that reciever already being in place, they are going to send out a tech. if you have a 222 and want it swapped for a 722, that can be mailed. beacuse a 222 meets all the requirements. however, if you have a 322 and no previous hd, then a tech will have to roll because you most likely do not have the correct dish. a 211 will require a tech roll for a 722 upgrade as it is a single tuner, and it is cabled differently, as previously explained. if dish can mail you the receiver, they prefer to do so when possible, as it is a lot less costly.

Well then you most likely would have to have a new dish and etc... so yeah tech needs to roll.

I tried telling the CSR that there was already a 61.5 dish hooked into the system, she didn't seem to care.
