This week K-Ville. I recorded two episodes. I watched the premiere and it was kind of weak. I am trying to equat it to another crime fighting series but I can't is quite low compare to others.

Kitchen Nightmares: I recorded the first espisode to see what it was about. I watched the first two minutes and it was not my kind of show.

Nashville: Another one which I recorded but it is not my kind of story. A bunch of musician trying to make it in the music industry and their soap opera. Out of the DVR.

K-Ville, Journeyman, and Chuck; although I will give Chuck one last chance to impress me. It will take a lot.

Oh, and Heroes. Just kidding. :)

Agree on Chuck. It gets one more chance.

Private Practice. The crossover episode was a total disaster, but we thought we would give the premiere a shot. Total train wreck. Didn't warm to the characters and the plot was totally unbelievable. Already off our list.

Yep..Chuck gets one more from me. Love Heros, The Office, How I Met Your Mother,...Bionic Woman was good. I was ready to drop Prison Break, but it has become good again.

I feel Num3ers slipping away....if it weren't for Emily Proctor, I'd be done with CSI Miami, I didn't get CSI New York recorded and I think that says something.

K-Ville - I gave up on after the first episode. Seemed to be very hit and miss for me .. they did good character development in parts of the first episode and they did not seem to care about the actual plot line .. why was the whole thing "solved" within around 30 seconds ... it was like the whole plot-line of that episode was just thrown away with a "oh yeah - by the way - this is whodunit" .. very poor writing.

Bionic woman - I quite enjoyed .. amazing to see Michelle Ryan in this role as only a couple of years ago she was a long running character in an English soap opera .. weird watching her with an American accent now (she did an amazing job i think too) The accent was even more convincing than Hugh Laurie's accent in House.

Chuck could go either way .. was not quite what i expected .. but its hanging on ...

Back to you .. another one that could go either way .. I'm sticking with this one for now.

Looking forward to the new Las Vegas series with Tom Selleck as the new owner. That show always looks good in HD.

Edit To Add :

Kid Nation - Just caught the first two episodes .. i like it. Not sure about the "games" and "prizes" and "gold star" thing .. I don't think they were needed - a fly-on the wall type show is fine - why turn it into a game-show too ?

Kitchen Nightmares - Much harder than the Uk version of the show that Ramsey did. Seems like they went out of their way to find the most bizzare characters they could for the show. Also did not like the fact that the first two restaurants were given a "make-over" in order to make the show work .. again - why turn it into a game-show when there is no need for it? Overall though - I did enjoy the first couple of episodes .. will stick with it as long as they show it.

I really like Nightmares...but there is 20-21 min of commercials...I am really starting to hate FOX. I will probably give up on the simpsons this year (I wanted to last year but couldn’t bring myself to it but the premiere was weak). We dropped private practice and Survivor also. I think we may like reaper though.

Also is it me or was the premiere of CSI boring?

Dirty Sexy Money can go... God awful show I found myself more bored than anything.

Private Practice can also go. I never miss Grey's Anatomy and was hoping this would be the same but after the cross over and last weeks episode I find myself waiting for the end to come fast.

Big Shots can go after one episode... and while on ABC cancel Cavemen before it even starts.

The best new show thus far was Reaper. I really enjoyed the first episode and have made sure it has top priority for downloading weekly (I would tivo it but dish doesn't have CW in HD so its easier to download the hd ep and stream it.)

Best new shows I like:

Kitchen Nightmares on BBC; World Cup Rugby on SETA; News & Movies on TV5 (English subtitles), Journeyman (although it looks a bit like "Quantam Leap:" Aliens In America, The War...
plus the regulars like WEEDS, DEXTER, 30 ROCK and reruns of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT.

I dropped K-ville and Private Practice (also Greys Anatomy, got tired of it last season just stuck it out to see the plots for last season resolved). Dirty Sexy money and Big shots are getting another shot or 2 just to see how they really develop. Carpoolers, Big Bang theory and Back to you are also a couple more for evaluation. Cavemen did not even finish the pilot before deleting.

Samantha Who? is out of my DVR. It only took 5 minutes to realize that this one will be out. I am surprised that ABC is asking for more episode of this one. I guess they have nothing better to replace it.

Dropping shows left and right is nice, freeing up time and not feeling like I am missing anything...

I was thinking... I wonder if Dish sells the DVR list info? I bet it would be very interesting data for studio execs to get. You could see which shows are moving up and down in priority list and which ones are falling off. You could even see which ones people bother to record in HD vs SD.

My Thursday nights need more trimming. I have been getting bored with The Office, I think it is next, also Scrubs just popped up, guess they are starting the season, probably chop it too.

Private Practice also dropped. I watched the first episode and did not see anything that will keep me interested. The same stories as before.
