What would cause this?

I was aiming a dish with a acutrac meter. I was taking a break picking up stuff in the yard near the dish.

All of a sudden, the signal meter quickly grew in intensity, was maxed out for several seconds, then faded away.

I looked to the sky, saw nothing.

I've seen this on my little sat finder that I keep in the LNBF coax. I leave it in the LNBF coax fastened to the shop wall and use it every now and then as it also helps identify which polarity I'm on and whether I'm looking at Ku or not. On some satellites it does the same thing you're describing but I got no idea why. I do notice when it does that though that the 22hz green light comes on at the same time then goes off, like the receiver is triggering that 22hz switch because it doesn't have a signal lock and it's looking for one?
