exactlyWell, you didn't get to see in the swm32 boxes, but you most likely have a dedicated SWM8 for your apartment.
nope. They checked the signals and that was it.Have you tried recording 5 things to see if there is no problem using 5 tuners? I would hope they stuck around a bit longer than 5 minutes to check that?
so far its been a week...but with the new N/R out for the HR34 I'm sure it will reboot in the next few daysI guess we will know in 4-5 days if he has to reboot his HR34 or not.
worked like a champ. 5 things recording for about an hour last nightHave you tried recording 5 things to see if there is no problem using 5 tuners?
Building terminals...At least that's what we called them when we did MDU installs. This is real Directv. We get Choice package free (well included in rent)
Its not even a room. There are these metal boxes on the walls in the underground garage that are locked. There's a bunch of cables that come out of them
I wonder if there is a "system" in there like hotels have?
Where they have one turner per channel and when you change the channel, it changes to that tuner. I'm guessing it could be possible!
nope. Directv sends them out and I've seen receivers in the office and they are just D12'sIm assuming not, but are the receiver models labled xx##i? Example d12i or hr24i ?
Those are the special receivers needed for some mdu setups, although it seems as if yours are just a bunch of cascaded swm switches, how many dishes are on the roof, if i recall correctly 1 ka/ku can support 64 tuners, but that was before swm came out
OK this is weird....I mentioned about the RSN's and they all show up
http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads...ing-back-quot-home-quot?p=3113920#post3113920
but I noticed that 2 of them show 721 message and that is FS Ohio (660) and FS Cincy (661). But all the other 24/7 RSN's show up fine
weird.....
I live in an apartment now (moved in December from a house I owned for 10 years) but for the 3 years I've had Diretcv I was a "mover" pretty much the whole time. Only moving home (to my legit address ) to upgrade.
