WCHU channel 61 out of chicago

I have noticied lately on wchu channel 61aztech america out of Chicago that they are broadcasting in hd is there a way dish can pick their feed up and carry them in hd.

its low powered so it doesnt qualify for must carry

and since you've "noticed it lately" just use the antenna that you are using to pick it up now

well NY has a low power Azteca channel on dish ..so anything is possible

In your market its in SD on Dish just as it is in Chicago

not true. If the 2 parties agree for it to be carried then it is carried regardless of status.
Here in Minneapolis the low (like 1000 watt ANALOG) Univision station is carried on all major cable systems around here (they get the feed from Big dish)
BTW...the owner of this station (the one the OP is talking about) only owns low powered stations
