[VOOM] Rain Fade on Satellite Truck dish

I was just watching Fox News coverage of Hurricane Ivan and they showed the
reporters satellite truck parked on the street. The dish on top of the truck
looked like it was about 5 feet wide, if not bigger.

What happened? They got RAIN FADE and lost their feed!!! Rain Fade on a
5FT+ size dish! Now that's some serious wind and rain!!

Just thought it added perspective to our standard 18" dish

Umm yeah, do you think the hurricane is just propaganda, It really is that big and dangerous, thousands of people will be left without a home. I wish everyone the best of luck...

No sir, I wasn't trying to lessen the danger of the hurricane in any way,
shape or form. I was only trying to make the point that the winds must be
incredible to affect a 5 foot+ size dish.. compared to our standard 18"
dish.

The people in danger will be in my thoughts and prayers.
