My Dish service was reinstalled yesterday but the tech didn't have replacement LNBFs for my existing Dish 500/300 setup so he replaced it with a Dish 1000. He did a good, clean install, but I have some questions about the way it is wired. I suspect the wiring arrangement was selected to minimize the number of cables that needed to be pulled but I think it will unnecessarily reduce the signal strength to my receiver.
Diagram01 shows the installation the way it was done using 3 diplexers. It seems to me that there has to be a significant loss after going through all the diplexers.
Diagram02 shows what I think may be a better solution that could be implemented without much trouble.
What do you guys think?
