VIP 622

Have a VIP 622 that tries to access the hard drive about 15 seconds time intervals. Never does access the receiver. No menu, no error screens. Just the sound of the drive trying to spin up.

I have turned the receiver off using remote.
I have turned off receiver using power strip.
I have turned off receiver by unplugging from power source.
I have held the power button on the receiver in as per manual.
Remote is set to proper channel.

Everything I tried just doesn't work. Receiver is placed in back room that is about 55 degrees so overheating not air flow was a problem. The 2-612's seem fine. Son said screen froze around midnight but sound continued. Now there is nothing. Any ideas???

Sounds like the hard drive failed. Time to replace it.
