US Soccer needs a miracle to advance....and gets it!(FINAL GAME SPOILERS)

Wow!!! Wouldn't that be something to win against Spain?!!
Watching on ESPN360.com right now...

Oh, this is just unbelievable!!!
Two miracles in a row!!!

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, THE biggest win in US Soccer history in my opinion. It does not rank up there with the "Miracle on Ice"....but it is close. The ONLY difference between the two is the US Hockey team beat the best team in the world in the OLYMPICS..bigger tournament than this one....more at stake.

...now if this had happened in the World Cup to advance to the finals...this would be considered...to me..as the greatest upset in team sports history.

I'm not what you would call a soccer fan, but I was bored beyond tears yesterday, so I watched the game. Great defensive effort by the USA team. It seemed like Spain dominated play all afternoon, the play being predominantly in our defensive end. But these kids just kept making block after block the whole game. They played with a lot of heart.

SO yesterday PROVED that they can play and beat just about ANY TEAM IN THE WORLD at ANY given point. NOW the whole issue is, can they play like that CONSISTANTLY....THAT is the difference.

That's a damn good question, but I think those in the know, would probably say that USA is playing over their heads. I don't know much about soccer, but I enjoyed yesterdays game. On the edge of my seat for the whole second half.

Especially the goalie play...that poor US goalie was peppered by 29 shots!

US shocks the world and beats Spain.

Where does this rank among sports upsets in your eyes?

Would you call this the "Miracle on Grass?"

Considering this happened nearly 24 hours ago and I'm just now finding out about this on a Satellite Sports Forum, about #999th. Seriously, if this were such a big deal, why haven't I heard about this before? I have satellite radio and have been cruising the internet and all the talk seems to be on the NBA, MLB, and the Wimbledon instead of this silly foosball game.
