WVIZ is now in HD on DirecTV. WVIZ's OTA digital signal is at a temporary facility which sends its signal to a very small area, so its nice that those of us without cable can finally see the channel.
Awesome! What channel number for D*?

hey Jason any word on when we're getting the rest of the Flint/Saginaw digital subchannels? WBSF technically is a digital subchannel since its on WEYI-DT2, so is the WDCQ PBS channel since its on WDCQ-DT2 (DT1 is MHz World View)
is WBSF going to be on 46 on 2/18?
when are we getting WNEM-DT2 (My 5) and WJRT-DT2 / DT3? I miss them since switching from Comcrap (I'm not switching back though, I like HD channels too much). I can't seem to find a good indoor antenna for my apartment either that gets them all consistently without the digital cliff effect making them freeze when a car drives by, which happens alot since I live on a busy road. (any suggestions?)
Actually, they're not sub-channels, they are multicast channels. An NTSC TV channel is 6MHz wide. An analog signal occupies the whole 6MHz, with different carriers carrying the information for picture, color, and sound. Subcarriers (SCV, SCA) also exist. That's where any sub-channels were/are located (as you wrote, they are piggybacked onto the main channel). They aren't channels. They're sub channels - something piggybacked onto the main channel.
You're thinking of data rate -- 19Mbps. The bandwidth of a TV channel is 6MHz. ATSC just defines the modulation scheme as digital.Am I confusing ATSC and NTSC...? I could have sworn that the bandwidth allowed for each network by the FCC was either 16MHz or 19MHz, and each network/affiliate could choose to split that into however many "subsets" as they wanted.
wow a Buckeye fan helpin a Wolverine fan? Hell has froze over. :haha
what stores sell this antenna? I dont have a a credit card or bank account or anything so I can't order online.
Sorry this is as late as it is, but, NO I have not ever seen them at local stores.
You can't borrow a CC and pay the person cash back ?
