NEW YORK – February 1, 2006 – SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI), the Official Satellite Radio Partner of the NFL, announced today that New England Patriots quarterback and two-time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady will host a special two-hour program live from Detroit, the site of Super Bowl XL, exclusively on SIRIUS NFL Radio, channel 124.
Brady, a three-time Super Bowl champion, will host SIRIUS MVP Radio, airing Friday, February 3 (5-7pm ET) exclusively on SIRIUS NFL Radio, channel 124, with regular SIRIUS NFL Radio hosts John Riggins - who was named MVP of Super Bowl XVII - and Adam Schein. The special, which will feature guest appearances by other Super Bowl MVPs, will offer SIRIUS listeners the authoritative breakdown of Super Bowl XL by some of the greatest players in Super Bowl history.
From Monday, January 30 through Super Bowl Sunday SIRIUS NFL Radio, SIRIUS’ 24/7 year-round NFL talk radio channel, will broadcast live from Detroit with up-to-the-minute news, interviews and analysis from SIRIUS’ lineup of NFL experts, including John Madden, Cris Carter, Shannon Sharpe, Randy Cross, Gil Brandt, Tim Ryan, Pat Kirwan, Bob Papa and Steve Cohen.
Throughout the week, all programming on SIRIUS NFL Radio will be streamed live and free of charge on the NFL’s official game site www.superbowl.com <http://www.superbowl.com/> .
On Super Bowl Sunday, February 5, SIRIUS will air an expanded lineup of live play-by-play broadcasts of Super Bowl XL, offering 11 different game calls in seven languages, including:
