As far as the HD question: I was able to get the HD demo channel working clean off the 82 using a AMD Sempron 3100+ (1.8), 2gig ram, and a Geforce 5200. At first, it was really choppy. I ended up overclocking the processor to 2.3 and installing the Nvidia Purevideo codec. Now, everything is crystal clear. Believe that the codec is what did the trick (even those I never tested it before overclocking; the one that comes with the card still hicups every now and then)
Might be able to get about 2.5 to 2.6 out of that processor from the other forums that I've read, but going to keep it here right now since it is stable and doing what I need. CPU is at about 25-45% when watching this channel.
