No, it works just fine on OTA channels (now you have (3) references or sources for this ). It looks for the program name, season/episode #, and ?? to make a match. It isn't restricted to satellite channels. In fact, one member here had episodes of a show recorded from MSNBC that were autohop-able. Turns out these shows were re-runs on MSNBC and had recently also been re-run on ABC, CBS, or whatever network it's usually on. The Hopper system found that they matched, didn't care what channel they were recorded from, and made them autohop-able.Not sure but auto hop can only apply to sat signals and not over the air. I could be wrong since I have only heard this from one source
Are people getting Autohop on networks other than FOX ? Tribune owns stations from every network, do they not ?The contract Dish has with Fox and the C7 window is only for satellite signals. The OTA is treated the same as TIVO, so Dish doesn't need a contract for Autohop on OTA.
I was on our local WNEP website to look for Fireworks display in Eastern Pa, and I came across this.

I was just curious if this is what yous have on your other Tribune channels.
Because I didn't see this on my WPIX site.
So is this Tribune, or can the local channel actually post something like this?
This is Very "Dishturbing"
Samsung Galaxy S6 Active
That's so stange, I wonder why I don't get the pop up on my end on WPIX .WPIX has it.

Well, I did find a Fireworks show tonight anyway, lol.Tribune made the page then "customizes" it for each local affiliate in case they want to add a link on their website, FB page, etc.
Just change the "wnep" part to "wpix":

Was just going off your response to this.I watched a FOX show MasterChef that I set an OTA timer from the guide that DISH gave us back and the AutoHop worked. Is all of FOX network AutoHop back now or just the ones that are in dispute?
Did anyone else find this statement funny?Turns out these shows were re-runs on MSNBC and had recently also been re-run on ABC, CBS, or whatever network it's usually on.
WPIX has it.

If I knew that, I would record more Fox OTA. Oh wait, I can't receive Fox OTA!The contract Dish has with Fox and the C7 window is only for satellite signals. The OTA is treated the same as TIVO, so Dish doesn't need a contract for Autohop on OTA.

Actually, it was CNBC, and the show was Undercover Boss, which airs on CBS.Did anyone else find this statement funny?
Let me dumb it down for you: Autohop doesn't care what channel a show is shown on. It can still match it.Did anyone else find this statement funny?
Lighten up Francis. I just found the statement funny.Let me dumb it down for you: Autohop doesn't care what channel a show is shown on. It can still match it.

I have programs recorded yesterday on NBC that have the "kangaroo" and the words "autohop available now" - I tried playing a couple and they worked but I thought there was a delay (like a week or more) or is that not true of NBC?Are people getting Autohop on networks other than FOX ? Tribune owns stations from every network, do they not ?
Pretty sure I just read an article that said it was a 7 day window. They settled that first. No delay presently on NBC.
