> </o>The RE-INVENTORS team consists of amateur historian and special effects artist, Jeremy “J-Mac” MacPherson, and carpenter and backyard inventor, Matt Hunter. From the helmet parachute to the flying car to the incinerating toilet, the team travels back in time to explore the inventions that were just too bizarre to make it and the people who devised them. Not content to leave these ideas in the invention graveyard, Jeremy and Mattexamine the science behind the inventions, then build and field test them to determine if the “re-invented” products are overlooked gems, or deserving of their place in the bad patent junkyard.<o

Numerous inventions have been devised throughout history ranging from shoes that walk on water, to pedal-powered buoys, to survival suits that double as a suitcase. The Re-Inventors build and test some of these late 19<SUP>th</SUP> and early 20<SUP>th</SUP> century creations to find out if any of them can offer a shipwrecked person a better chance of survival.<o
