and on the topic of this thread in a way, one, who was it that resurrected an dead thread from 3 years ago and second, why is this in the Dish section if Dish had nothing to due with this topic, this topic is related to broadcast/cable TV in general and not a provider carrying the channels.

If you see an add with video where audio starts playing please let me know including if possible a screen shot so I can figure out what ad network the ad is coming from so I can remove those ads. No ads should make noise or popup here at all. We need to pay the bills but try not to drive people away by annoying ads that play sound or popup.

Correct, the utility is supposed to prevent people from reading threads if they have ad blockers on but I modified it to only display the banner at the top. I don't want to block people from the site just want to pay the bills. In fact speaking of bills just go alerted this morning out next bandwidth bill is over $8,000.

Here's a gripe I have about bugs...why are they on the premium movie channels? I could see showing it maybe once an hour, and in-between movies of course, but some channels leave the bug up throughout the entire movie. Why?

I liked the scene near the beginning of The Simpsons Movie where an ad bug appears on the screen. Marge sees it, complains, then sprays it dead.

I think the premium channels do it to try to make a home made copy less desirable than a purchased DVD.

Speak with your wallets I just did was paying over $150 a month for two accounts just dropped dish. I told them I liked their service but it was the commercials than turned me away from pay tv all together. They claimed they would note why I left as too many commercials not like it matters. I find myself much relieved I have not seen one viagra type commercial on normal OTA since I dropped service on 3-6-11.
