It sure is. go to the diagnostic screen(3 Homes) and, with your 52 remote, press the Sat button. You will hear some beeps and you are paired.

Yes, I have had a 54.0, a 52.0, and a 40.0 all paired to one Wally at the same time. Of those three, I had the least use for the 52.0, but that is just a matter of personal preference.
