Yeah, he's coming off VERY abrasive. Like he's pissed for having to give the speech!
Extremely odd ending. After his speech was over, Tiger left the podium to utter silence from the crowd. Went over to his mom and family and hugged each one of them. Tears were falling from some of his family members. Not one peep from the crowd. It reminded me of a funeral. Very odd.
So, according to some Miami sports writer, Tiger Woods should not be addressing the media, or anyone else, at all. That's his or her opinion, and you know what opinions are like...you said it yourself!
And Tiger Woods obviously disagrees, because he is addressing them.
The 950 member Golf Writer's Association of America, also disagrees. See above...

Wow., He admitted to be a jerk on the Golf Course as well. The British Open was good example of how much of an idiot he had turned into.. One of the local news stations here said before this broke last year he was arrogant and unapproachable. Being a great golfer doesn't make you a god . And he's been acting that way for years. Let's just see if he stays humble. For any of you who ever have the pleasure of meeting Arnold Palmer in person you will see a humble nice man. You never saw that with Tiger.
Like I said....he should be. THE ONLY folks he should be kissing up to is his family and friends. He owes the fans NOTHING. They didn't become fans to vote if he is father or husband of the year...they became because he kicked everyone's a$$ on the golf course. No one buys the his products because he is a nice guy....they buy because...he kicks a$$....period.
That is great an all, but back when ALL those older players were younger....were they as nice...?was the media constantly in their face...?were the galleries 1/4 of what they are now? Were they able to eat a decent meal in public or go to a movie? ALL those things need to be taken into consideration. IF they had indiscretions...or got drunk and throw out of a club or restaurant....the media would hush alot of those these and it was generally not reported....
ALL of that has to be taken into considerations.....
Did you even hear what Woods said? He apologized to kids and parents. Even Tiger Woods wouldn't agree with your statement here. Woods was out of control. On and off the course. I've never liked his attitude. And if you want to give him a pass fine but think about his health. Screwing around with women who have slept around is dangerous. And foolish.
He owes the fans everything , because we buy the games, we go to the events, we buy the products he endorses and he knows it.
But he does owe us an apology. We're the fans. We're the ones buying his products. We're the ones endorsing the companies who sponsor his tournaments. We're the ones buying the tickets to see him hit a golf ball.
Without the fans, Tiger doesn't get paid to golf. It's really that simple.
If he was a business executive of some private company, he wouldn't owe the public an apology, but since so much of what he does and how he succeeds (financially) is dependent on his fans, we as fans feel that we deserve a decent apology for the effect this drama has had on the game.

No he does not.
This is not the NFL, MLB, NHL or the NBA. They didn't raise the ticket prices at golfing events because the player were demanding MORE?! Those golf course, most, if not ALL are PRIVATE. They raise them because the PGA wanted to...it has NOTHING to do with the players wanting more. Sorry, that thinking does not apply to golf.
IF you think Tiger was not gonna get paid without the fans....you are sdaly mistaken. LOL!! He didn't DEMAND an appearance fee to play at certain events....LOL!! They PAID him because they WANTED HIM THERE...!!! LOL!!

Are you serious? Tiger would be living a middle class lifestyle like the rest of us if Golf had no fans.
Woods doesn't owe me an apology. I've never bought an overpriced Tiger Woods endorsed product in my life. I watch him play golf because he's a good golfer, regardless of whether he cheats on his wife or not, and will continue to do so.
I'll never understand the importance of celebrity product endorsements, beyond caling my attention to a product that I might otherwise have been unaware of. My first set of golf clubs was endorsed by Lanny Wadkins. I didn't even notice that until after I had used them a few times. If, when I had picked them out, there had been a set of identical clubs next to them that were endorsed by Jack Nicklaus but cost $1 more, I wouldn't have paid $1 more for them.

Q: But why did "they" want him there?
A: Because Tiger makes "them" money. (add revenue, merchandise profits, etc).
