The Walking Dead on AMC

  • Server Issues.

We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.

Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

Thank you for your patience! Sorry for the issue!

They should have gagged him... The zombies would not have noticed...

Perhaps his brother will man up and not be so intent on killing himself and Carl, and rescue his brother.

I almost guarantee that boy is dead. I'm just wondering how many others are going to get it as well because of him. I just hope they don't think they need to kill off a major character because it will be the first episode.

I suspect his "Mom, mom, mom" will end his run on the show. I wonder if anyone else will go out with him if they try and help ? Then again, I think Rick was behind him so maybe he'll just gag the kid !

Yeah he's likely done. I can't see his mom and/or brother not trying to save him so they could be done as well. Either that or he will survive but someone else will die saving him.

The scenario reminds me of a very similar situation in season 2 of The Walking Dead video game. It involved a completely different group of characters, so nothing spoilery in mentioning it, but it did include a nervous kid to complicate matters.

For anyone who enjoys the TV show and/or comics, but doesn't consider themselves a video game player, you should still check out the two seasons of the episodic The Walking Dead game by Telltale. It's an incredible game with little to no overlap of the TV series (so it won't spoil anything). It's very easy to play, and I'm sure it's available on mobile and PC if you don't have a console (PS4/PS3/XboxOne/360). Alternatively, you can also watch the YouTube video walkthroughs of it.

Just thinking about Sam and his "Mom, mom, mom" whining.... Why is that a surefire way to get him or others killed or injured by the walkers ? Are we suggesting they are smart enough to know the difference now ? As shown by the first walker that encountered Rick, it kinda sniffed him and moved on. Are walkers going to automatically know that it's a trick because Sam is talking (or making vocal noise - which the walkers do a little bit themselves) ?

We know, because the writers would have written it that way not caring if it possibly contradicts the way they previously had zombies shown to react.

I don't this years show have been good as past shows but they have been alright but hope it gets better when it starts back up again after holiday break!! :)

The walkers don't talk. I would think that a noise like that would trigger an attack. It's been shown numerous times how they are attracted to noises.

The bottom line is that it has been made very clear that we don't want spoilers in this thread before the episodes air. You, and others, choosing to ignore that is just disrespectful.
It's pretty simple. Comic spoilers have their own thread. Keep them there.
Exactly, it's the reason I made the comic spoilers allowed thread, just so we can talk about how things in the comics are in the show.

Now, the comics spoilers thread does tend to drop down, and not be seen at times.
So can we perhaps move that forum inside of this one as a sub-forum, that way it's always seen at the top of this one, and thus people have no excuse for not knowing about it.
Not sure of the technical feasibility of that, perhaps just updating the Thread Title to state "Comic discussion not allowed, use other thread" might suffice, and include a link to it in the opening post.

I just won't post any more in this thread since spoilers are not wanted. It is way too easy to let stuff slip, since it is so widely speculated on just about all sites now.

There were parts of this one I really enjoyed, and parts of it that just did not seem right to me. Or seemed different and odd than what we have seen before. I cant really put my finger on it.

Overall a decent episode, but for me, no where near the "best episode ever" talk I have seen in other places.

This episode held true to the comics pretty well. I saw a lot of this coming just from the preview they showed of that dumb ass boy Sam. What happened to Carl was straight out of the comic and I thought was pretty well done.
