Server Issues. We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.
Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

I'd appreciate it if they didn't bring the comic books into Arrow,Flash,Agents of Shield,Daredevil,Jessica Jones,Supergirl,& the soon to be Legends of Tomorrow,Luke Cage,Iron Fist,& the Defenders either,if we want to be dogmatic about it. It's like watching the movie "Titanic" & someone tells you beforehand that the ship sinks,it just ruins it.
The fact is, the show is NOT 100% based on the comics so why people think "this happened in the comics so it's going to happen on the show" are fools.
I think that if you don't want to know about spoilers that you need to shut down this thread entirely and stop reading it. The chances of someone letting something slip is too great to leave it open. Especially when the mystery about Glenn was finally answered and the speculation was so great about his eventual outcome. This is the internet age and I see stories about Walking dead on my Yahoo home page all the time. Not to mention the Huffington post puts out all kinds of spoilers about the comics and the eventual turn of the tv story. I didn't mean to be disrespectful about your "feelings" about the show, but I do think that y'all are all taking it a little to serious . It is just a tv show.
You can also argue that the Walking Dead comics & characters aren't as well known as the characters from both DC & Marvel comics,& that it's not as aggravating comparing DC & Marvel characters in TV with their comic counterparts,because almost everyone is familiar with said characters anyway.
It's fun to talk about the episodes after they air and speculate about them. That's why we come to this thread. It's not fun to be flat out told what happened in the books. Sure, not everything that happens in the books happens in the show but many major plot points were lifted directly from them. I read the comics that went with the first 4 seasons of the show and plenty of stuff was the exact same.
The point is that many of us don't appreciate reading what happened in the comics in this thread. There is an entire separate thread for people who want to have those spoiler discussions. I don't know why it's such a big deal for you to just post this stuff in the proper thread and leave it out of here like you were asked to do.
Spoilers after the fact are different. We talk about the show after it happens and if you dvr it yes. Stay clear of you do not want to know.
Drastic difference in that and talking about comic events that have not happened and may happen. Especially when there is a thread for that purpose.
Yes it is a tv show. It holds little sway over my life but it is one of the few things that I use to "escape". And things I knew nothing about I now know because of some posters here.
I'd rather have not as its more enjoyable for me to see it unfold with no prior notice.

I was not all that impressed for it being a finale episode. I really feel these should be hour and a half long episodes.

I think the episode would have been fine if we didn't have to wait until the middle of February to see what happens next. I really hate these breaks they take every winter. There shouldn't have to be a huge mid-season finale moment every year but the way they have the show set up it puts more pressure on it.
I can't imagine a show like Game of Thrones trying to do a mid-season finale and mid-season premier every year like Walking Dead has to do. I'm sure their numbers tell them it's not a good idea to run new episodes while people are doing holiday stuff but I wish they would anyways.
I don't want to make it seem like it was a bad episode. I still enjoyed it. It just didn't live up to my expectations for a finale.
I won't say anything to spoil the next episode but it does seem they are setting up to follow a plot straight from the comics. I love how the show does it's own thing yet still manages to keep a few things the same. This is why it's important not to explain what happens in the comics in this thread.
I actually agree with you. That's why I was saying I would prefer it if they didn't take these breaks every winter. That way they wouldn't have to live up to finale and premier expectations in the middle of the season every year.
I watched the episode in 30 minutes! There was so much emotional fluff and predictable dialog that I couldn't stand it. It was exhausting watching all the now cliched set-up with little to no payoff.
I liked about 10 minutes of the episode. And someone make that kid more scared of the consequences than the monsters to shut him up!!!

I was thinking that they cast the part too old, he should have "known better by now". Rather than a 12 year old, a 6-8 year old would have been more believable as far as not being able to understand...
I think part of the explanation is that these people have supposedly lived inside the walls the whole time and he probably didn't have any exposure to the zombies on the outside. Even most of the adults who lived in Alexandria have shown that they can't handle themselves well around the zombies.
I think it's pretty reasonable for a 12 year old to not handle being covered in human guts and then being forced to walk right through hundreds of zombies well, especially one who didn't have the same exposure to the outside world that Carl did.
I suspect his "Mom, mom, mom" will end his run on the show. I wonder if anyone else will go out with him if they try and help ? Then again, I think Rick was behind him so maybe he'll just gag the kid !
Yeah he's likely done. I can't see his mom and/or brother not trying to save him so they could be done as well. Either that or he will survive but someone else will die saving him.
