Just finished last nights performances. Cody and Nicholas knocked it out of the park. I would be surprised if they don't both move on. I think Cassadee, Terry, Melanie and Amanda stood out from the others.

Christina's been that way for a couple of weeks.

Cassadee and Amanda were really good so far. I liked Melanie and Terry's performances too. Through the first performances and on to the second performances now.

I am not going to miss her in the spring. But I am all for her throwing her voice to Cassadee. I want that girl to go all the way.

And if the iTunes charts are any indicator, she will. The girl has three songs in the top 100, 2 in the top 15, Over You is still sitting at #55 after three weeks. Blake was brilliant by giving her two country songs; tapped into a segment of the audience that had no contestant, AND even Cassadee acknowledged it last night.

My prediction, based on performance AND iTunes charts, for the bottom two are Amanda (defnitely going home, even though she did a great job with the White snake song) and Trevin. Melanie squeaks into the bottom 4 barely; but her fan base seems to be loyal, even though I frankly am growing tired of the same thing every week.

I do not see her making it to top 2. Cassadee is a given, almost a draw between Terry and Nicholas (just because of the older fan-base he is drawing; that Over the Rainbow performance is charting quite high right now, his highest ever). In any of those combos, I still see Cassadee winning it all. And even if I am wrong and it is Cassadee and Melanie, Cass wins, hands down.

So, there you go. My predictions. :)
 
Just looked at the charts again, Terry is #3, Cassadee is #5 and 8 from last night (and #54), and Nicholas is #6. Trevin's top is #13, but his second song is #58. Amanda is #26 and #32, where Nicholas is #6 and #47. I might have to revise my prediction as an uncertainty between Nicholas and Amanda, although that one song in the top 10 will provide a nice multiplier for votes for him; but with 2 in the top ten Cassadee's place is assured.

I say all of this having NO IDEA of whether those who BUY music are representative of the overall voters. That said, I bought two songs from Cassadee last night and voted by phone a few times. But again, not all young folks can just click PURCHASE at will.

I thought Cassadee would be one finalist with Nicholas and Amanda fighting for the other spot.

I figured Treven would be gone tonight with the other spot being between Terry and Melanie. I was really surprised Treven made it past last week.

Either way I think the Itunes charts shows this is Cassadee's to lose.
 
I got 3 of the 4. I didn't see Trevin getting the votes he did, and thought there was a chance that Melanie would squeak by, but am not upset with the results.

We now have a battle for the #2 spot, which I really see between Terry and Nicholas. Trevin gets his final four appearance, but that's it.
