All those episodes with the character Evelyn 'Angel' Martin in them! Priceless! Watched Jim Rockford and his super sleuthing years ago with my dad when it was on network TV growing up! Got to be careful there, I am telling my real age! Sure radar, those were the days, love those shows, Kojack and Beretta and don’t forget Starkey And Hutch! I love Magnum PI as well, can’t get enough of that “Ol My GOD’ From Higgy Baby!! Don’t forget “Movin’ On” With Sonny Pruitt (Claude Akins) and BJ & The Bear that funky monkey!!

Wish some of those would make a come back some day!

Quincy is playing on OMNI 1 on StarChoice. (StarChoice CFMT ch 343, subscription channel). Also, Quincy Season 1&2 is already out on DVD with Season 3 is coming out soon. (June 2nd) The first 6 seasons of Rockford Files are already out on DVD.
I'm watching Quincy as I type this. Record it every weekday on my TiVo.... He doesn't have the murder solved quite yet...

I swore that Rockford Files TV show was on RTN, but I could be wrong it's was in early evening!!

We may have to look up RTN's schedule....

It was on RTN 83.0W at 2pm CT today. Roughly about that time, it might have been 1pm or 3pm, I really wasn't paying too close attention to the clock.

What I really love about Rockford is his ways of coming up with all those identity cards to be an insurance investigator, a health inspector, an auditor and just about anything he felt like! And then playing the role so well to get into some companies files or extract info from the employees. Ha Ha Ha, that was so excellent!

Quincy was CSI when the CSI cast and crew were in still sucking their thumbs, and a LOT more believeable. Jack Klugman is Da Man! All the CSI episodes I've seen would be right at home on the Sci-Fi channel. Now if they could just combine WWE with Ghost Hunters and call it Ghost Wrestlers, it would only waste half the air time it already does, and there would be plenty of room for all the CSIs
Another fav of mine on RTN is Airwolfe. That chopper might be as Sci-Fi as they come but I sure would like to have one like it.
A few more I'd love to see running again is The Saint, Miami Vice, Black Sheep Squadron, and Simon&Simon to name a few.

Ok! Since we are talking shows we wish they would bring back, I have a list of shows I used to watch and love! Be nice to see some of these back on the air again to show my kids what we used to watch!

The list has some oldies in there, bet there is some even you forgot! Some of these may be running someplace but would like to see some on FTA!!

4 Decades Of Fine TV! What’s On Now? Not Much!!

These are just some I remember growing up! Again, I am saying my age kind of here but most of these shows would be a hit today with the strange new generation of television viewers!

The Rockford Files was a great show! I've been trying to get enough cash to buy the seasons on DVD, but they're a bit high. Might wait until they appear in the clearance sales. Have the entire series of Magnum, P.I., another excellent P.I. series, on DVD. Have the entire MacGyver series as well (a MUST for any FTA'er, the escape from the Chinese consulate roof using an OTA antenna and coax was priceless!)...

As for other retro television programs, I was recently able to pick up Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea seasons 1, 2, and 3. Season 4 just came out. Another great show was The Equalizer. Only season 1 has made it to DVD, and I'm not sure if they'll release the later seasons.

Black Sheep Squadron is on RTN Saturday at 10pm, Sunday at 8..
that along with Emergency are the ones I watch the most
Well I'm going to have to check that out. Thanks for the info. Anyone ever wonder if Bob Conrad's acting style was any influence on George Clooney?
or is that just me...........

Yeah, I forgot about Rat Patrol, and Man From U.N.C.L.E. I've seen some of the ones in your list recently, dont remember where they were all at though.
Beaver and Mchale's Navy are on RTN. Greatest American Hero there to I think. I saw the original Lost in Space recently on some channel. Quantum Leap was always a surprize and had a moral to boot. I thought Scott did very well in the last Enterprise Series as well, but apparently the critics didnt agree. Figures. The Stooges and Abbott and Costello are on WSTV from time to time.
Carol Burnett is great. One classy lady.
Oh, and one more late entry, any of the Alfred Hitchcock Presents old or new. I did see one of the pre-color ones somewhere not too long ago.
I'm going to toss another one out there for you ex-young whipper-snappers, aka moldy oldie farts......Skyking anyone?

I was scanning some TPs on G3C-95°W Sunday evening and ran across episodes of Charles Angels airing back to back. I think they were S2, but I couldn't lock any sound .

I forgot about Prisoner. I haven't seen that in at least 15 years.

I would love to see more classic Sci-Fi. On ALTV, Thursday evening is Irwin Allen night. Lost In Space, Time Tunnel, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Land of the Giants.

Maybe someday...

AcWxRadar,
You done one fine thread start here with The Rockford Files! You have brought back memories here my man! I never had to think so hard last night for the shows I used to watch with my family! And of course they make you think of things done & had happend in your life! It is funny how we attach memories to certain things in life! This thread took me back to the first part of the 70’s! Way too cool!

Great Thread! :up :bow :up

Not a TV show and getting the rights to re-air would be an impossibility would be Old The Johnny Carson Shows! I remember watching The Tonight Show With Johnny for years before going to pick up my dad at O Ames when he would work the night shift and my mother would keep the car for daily runs!

Allow me to sum up everything that folks like us hold dear and true and with high regard and respect with this one last clip... I am sure that you will understand the whole theme of being an American and enjoying our freedom and our people and our country, sacred as she is, and may you possibly have a tear in your eye for the days when going to the movies downtown on a narrow Main Street where there were ushers on Saturday afternoons and when a guy in a white jacket made your soda in a tin cup behind a wooden bar.

When Saturday nights you argued with your parents to stay up later to watch the Creature Feature movies on TV and struggled to stay awake in church on Sunday mornings. When men walked on the outside of the sidewalk for a lady and held doors open and when you took your hat off for the Anthem at baseball games.

When you knew how to use a slide rule and you called your teacher sir or mam. When you went to each Grandparent's house to eat for Thanksgiving and Christmas (even if you were too full from the last meal) and everyone exchanged gifts and sung songs, instead of listening to the radio or record player.

When you went fishing with your Dad or your uncle Joe and had a blast! When life was good and the sun was a bright yellow and the sky was a crisp and deep blue all the time.

Well this should sum up that era pretty well....
